Updated Reports:

We have updated reports on Morguard Corp (MRC) and Gamehost (GH). Two less-talked-about companies that both maintain their rating for the right and wrong reasons respectively. You can read the reports here.

First quarter earnings are hitting us fast and furious now. For the most part earnings are OK. If you do not see a company update below, we likely have commentary in our Q&A section:

Constellation Software (CSU, Rated A) 

Constellation hit an all-time high last week on the back of a strong quarterly report. The company's performance has been truly impressive. 

Stars Group Inc (TSGI, Rated B+)

Stars continues to be one of the most dynamic companies we have ever covered. It was one of the first reports we published, at $2.30/share (now $42). Stars last week bought Sky Betting and Gaming, for $4.6 billion, effectively doubling the size of the company. The deal looks good and opens up new businesses and markets to TSGI.

Covalon Technologies (COV, NR)

Covalon, held in our growth portfolio is up roughly 68% in five days on news of contracts totalling $100 million over three years. These deals essentially double COVs annual revenues over the next three years.

Market Update:

Caterpillar (CAT, NR) scared investors last week as the company indicated that its first quarter profit might be its 'high water mark'. Earnings have been good, no doubt, but with very strong corporate earnings growth expected this year, investors are asking themselves 'is this as good as it gets?'. This is a good question, and the year-over-year earnings comparisons (when we move into 2019) might be difficult. Still, growth is decent, and companies are starting to spend money again. This shows some confidence in the future.
