Q: Hello, thinking of selling these stocks for tax loss reasons (10-15%). Although one would think a very possible recession with the related decrease in earnings is already baked in share prices, I am afraid it is not entirely so. I intent to buy these stocks back in a month, hopefully with a lower SP. Is the tradeoff between tax loss and the risk of share prices jumping much higher worth it? Thanks

Q: Portfolio is high quality safer high yield dividend growers. Any like AQN that you would suggest selling and upgrading to another company? Ideally would like to maintain/increase the yield (maybe take advantage of high quality stocks that have been hit harder) without increasing the current risk of the portfolio? Not keen to sell low yielding BEP right now as its down a fair bit but I'm sure better days are ahead.

Current portfolio holdings are:
AW.UN AQN BNS BCE BEP.UN ENB EIF MFC SLF SYZ T TD

Q: What are your top 3 Cdn Utilities and top 3 Cdn Telecomms for Growth and Income, given recent pullbacks. Is this a good time to buy or should I wait for things to settle. Will Utilities and Telecomms provide some security heading into or during a recession.

Thanks
Tim

Q: Hi, how safe is the dividend on a scale of 1-10 whereby 10 is very safe. Do they carry debt that could some day impact the dividend as rates rise? Has the dividend ever been cut? Any reason why the dividend has not been raised for a few years? Lastly, do you see Keyera as a takeover target in the future. Many thanks as always for the great service that you provide.

Q: Do you concur with David Rosenberg's comments in the FP today stating that inflation is not our current problem but rather a lack of liquidity and forced sales of quality assets?

Q: With the Fed raising rates and their commitment to tackle inflation the US dollar has been on quite a tear lately. Can you name the top three companies from your balanced portfolio that would be the most positively impacted by the strengthening US dollar as well as the three that would be the most negatively impacted.
