Q: I am down on these names in my TFSA account
CTS (-44%)
ENGLX (-73%)
QST (-28%)
XBC (100%)

Is it time to throw in the towel on all of these, consolidate into one name or use my next year TFSA contribution limit to dollar cost average down?

I also hold an ETF, VGRO, in this account which is down 13%.

Q: Can you please comment on two items for Converge: the level of share dilution over the past couple of years, and the percentage of goodwill on the balance sheet. Are either of these concerning? Need to be watched? What about the likely future trajectory for these factors? I am considering taking a position here but these things have be reconsidering. Thanks.

Q: zlu follow up question, thanks for pointing out that zlu trades in USD as zlu.u
When i compare performance of those 2 ETFs using yahoo finance or questrade edge or the bmo website zlu significantly outperforms zlu.u over any time frame
If the performance was similar i would invest in zlu.u as it is in my rrsp account but in this case given the outperformance i think i will opt for zlu.
I do not understand the performance differential, assume fx must be related but it seems like too much.

Q: Back in June I asked about moving some XSB to XLB and you suggusted stick with XSB for another 3 to 5 months. I think I should start to switch some XSB to XLB. Does this make sence or is there another long term bond fund that would be better? Holding period of 5 years or longer.

Thanks Greg

Q: I have been searching for some beaten down industrial names and I came across AirBoss. I owned it a few years ago so I was somewhat familiar with the company. I noticed that in the past year it traded as $47 WOW and now it is just over $7. I realize that the big Covid contracts for nitrile gloves and respirators. etc. drove the price up and those contracts have dried up, but still only $7ish dollars. They have other divisions, like automotive, that are not covid dependent and the defense and safety segment is still relevant (It was relevant before Covid!!) So what is not to like about BOS when it is in the $7ish dollar range? At this price the dividend yields close to 6 per cent. I would be content collecting a year or two in dividends while waiting for earnings to stabilize or sentiment to change. But is the dividend safe? It is 10 cents per quarter and earnings were 9 cents but cash flow was decent. debt is a little high but it doesn't seem onerous. Then again, I am not an accountant!!

Q: Regarding ADW, back in February you indicated you would be fine holding for a while and that the worst was possibly over. At that time, the stock price was between $7.00 and $8.00 from Feb 22 to Mar 22. What are your thoughts now that stock price is in the $ 5.00 range ? Should I continue to hold until the next earnings release (I am getting the ~ 5% dividend which is some help). What are expectation for next earnings and at what point do I cut my losses and move on (how bad would earnings have to be) ??
