Q: Thanks for answereing my question on AEM. I share your negativity towards this report.

Do you still like gold representation in the portfolio given whats happening to interest rates, the US $ etc.

If yes, what would you replace AEM with in the portfolio. My intent will be to sell it today.

Thanks

Sheldon

Q: I am 100% equity in Canada and mostly ETFs in USA....My plan is to stay that way but I am thinking to try and beat the average in the USA by adding a few individual USA stocks. Can you suggest a few NON-MAMAA stocks that you would consider as good to outperform the broad market in the USA. I have a very diversified and balanced portfolio so have no restrictions in terms of asset class. Not looking for a hot growth stock, but more of a buy and almost forget return booster for my USA investments.

Q: shop web call was a good primer for understanding its business and pointed to setting things up for growth but market and analysts are skeptical.
shop gave back a good chunk of its recent positive movement today. most analysts now have it as a hold which is as close to reduce as you can get without saying sell, with target prices close to what it is now. what does 5i say? where do you see things going short, medium and longer term. can you provide some price ranges. Thinking about topping up position but trying to decide when.

Q: In my TFSA, these are the stocks I would "like" to buy (CDR, NEO), probably in the order I have listed them, unless you have a suggestion: GOOG, NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, AAPL. But I will need to sell some positions to raise the cash to do so. These are my options to sell, probably in the order I have listed them, unless you have suggestions: EGLX, LSPD, TOI, NVEI, ATS. The goal is growth over a very long period (TFSA will go to my children). I am open to eliminating any from the buy list in order to keep any from the sell list. I just don't know how to compare the American names to the Canadian names. Thank you: I realize this may not be an easy question to answer, but it will help me a great deal.

Q: Hi Peter,

Recently, Gabriela Borges of Goldman Sachs Goldman Sachs initiated a Sell rating on Cloudflare (NET) with a $51 price target. The analyst believes emerging software industry dynamics are favorable for long-term investors. Multi-product platforms have gained momentum, the industry is less cyclical, and unit economics outperform broader software. However, for Cloudflare, the analyst believes that the path to executing $5 Billion in annual recurring revenue will likely not be linear. Over the medium term, the risk/reward is skewed negative for the stock.

What is your opinion of NET from a short-term and medium-term risk/reward perspective? Please explain your rationale.

Thanks

George

Q: I would like to add to my CDR holdings of either PFE, ABBV or UNH. I am leaning towards PFE since it's price has been down lately and it has a decent yield. How are CDR distributions treated for tax purposes, are they considered to be Canadian or US equities?
Thank you.
