Q: I would appreciate your take on WTE please. It is trading today at $23.02, off a 52 week low of $21.59. Dividend appears solid and diversification of customers/product ongoing. The stock has been downgraded to hold by a number of analysts. While there is a recession sensitivity, the dividend and a "target" valuation of +/- $33 is appealing over a 3-5 year hold time frame. Again, thanks for your work and insights.

I would like to add to the above to increase my weight in these position.
What is your opinion. Should I wait on one or on all of them?
Appreciate your help. Thank you!

Q: Hello Team.. My question is on TRP which has a 48% ownership position of Bruce power station. Could this be considered a risky asset considering the high cost of future repairs and the potential liability of an accident given its advanced age. I have considered TRP as core holding with a great dividend but the nuclear side of the equation concerns me. I have a strongly positive bias towards nuclear energy so your perspective would be appreciated. Thanks. Gary

Q: We are a semi retired couple with RRSP's/RRIF's, TFSA's and a shared open account for dividend income.

In the dividend income account, we have 10 or so of the classic blue chip CDN stocks + CPD. (roughly equally portions), and are considering the addition of another monthly payer such as PMO205 to diversify asset types and stabilize monthly income a bit.

Does PMO205 make sense for this account?
If not, do you have other suggestions?
In the other accounts, our fixed income portion (VAB) has been a dog over the last couple of years.

Q: Happy New Year to 5i.
I have some cash available in my unregistered CDN account and looking to put it to work. Unfortunately, last years workers were lazy and negatively productive and still on the payroll. I wish I could lay them all off. Hoping for better in 2023.

I know you don't like to give personal advice but can you please recommend a hard worker that has the highest probability (in your opinion) of the paying me back in 2023?

Thanks!

Q: What do you know about BitIQ? I've read about outlandish claims about how by using AI it is generating huge gains. It sounds like a scam but I haven't been able to verify it.

Q: Is it reasonable to say at this point that in addition to the lump of coal in place of the Santa Claus rally, the "January Effect" New Year's small-cap bounce is unlikely to materialize for the second year in a row?

Q: Hello 5i Team
I have a very small total combined position in the above 4 stocks , I have no concerns at this time.
Would there be better risk reward in so other stocks in 2023 ? Let me know your thoughts?
Thanks

Q: Hello:

Child turning 18 later this month. For initial $6500 to TFSA would VEQT be better than US only VFV? Very long time horizon and I never bet against USA!

Other options for long term growth?

thanks,

Q: As I recall in early 2022, prior to the stock split, 5i research said GOOG was the best bet in the big tech space, with lots of cash and good financials. For longer term potential, where to you see GOOG now compared to MSFT, APPL, AMZN etc?
Thanks

Q: I heard today that Meta announced (rather quietly) that they will be diluting shareholders by printing $425M more shares to give employees in SBC to try to keep them after the big price drop over the last while. I was continuing to hold META because I think it still has a decent shot at growing in some of its rev streams and the metaverse could be successful for them. But this dilution irks me more than the the price drop. What are your thoughts on this? Do you see this as being more of a reason to maybe exit a position in META?
