Q: The company profile shows a dividend yield of 13.8%. Other sites show a modest yield of ~4.5%. 2 yearsago MRG.un paid 6 cents per share and today pays 20 cents which I interprete as a positive reason to own the stock, but I am puzzed why there is such difference inthe yield numbers. As you can tell by my question, I am tempted to buy a position but recognize high yields are often a warning sign. Is 13.8% yield sustainable? I have been burned in the past with this kind of dilemma. Appreciate your thoughts ....thanks

Q: Hi Peter and team,
Can you recommend five U.S. and five Canadian diversified stocks with medium to high risk, strong growth potential, and at least positive earnings?

Q: Based on today’s environment is NTR a sell? The materials sector is pretty diverse, are there two or three CDN companies that you would have a high degree of confidence would outperform just holding XMA for materials exposure? Or would you steer clear of Canada altogether, and if so, applying the same criteria suggest two or three U.S companies that could outperform XLB in the near term.

Q: I’m considering finally selling my BCE shares and would appreciate 5i’s top five Canadian choices to replace my BCE holding. Please understand that I need to replace the income that I receive from my BCE investment but not necessarily looking for such a high yield as that is most likely not sustainable.. My main criteria is dividend sustainability going forward with average mid single digit yearly dividend increases. Many thanks.

Q: All OK with COHR? The market seems to like the latest results posted last night. Any red flags? I'm a "Buy and Hold" investor and I'm not overweight in COHR so I'm just planning to do nothing! I don't think Mr. Trump's tariffs will be an issue with this company and COHR don't seem to be to be overly reliant on AI spending. Any comments you have would be appreciated.

Q: This is not a question, just a comment so I'm not sure what other forum there is for me to do that

I see that you recommend BEP and BIP for income investors . I think you should highlight that because these are partnerships, the income is a combination of dividends , interest and foreign income . So a form t5013 will have to be filed and not all the income from the partnership is taxed with the favourable dividend tax treatment . Luckily, neither of these has $US business , therefor are not subject to the 10% withholding
cheers
