Q: I’m considering selling Meta to purchase either AVGO or TSM in the tech sector of my portfolio. This is within my RRIF account.
Thoughts for a three year hold??

Q: Peter; I’m assuming you saw the options exercised today by the Chairman. It was announced on the TSX , but not on the US. It also traded over 2M shares in the US. Were there any large blocks in the US traded and does the Chairman have any restrictions on the optioned shares? If not,would it be an overhang. I don’t think it’s the most liquid stock here but in the US it seems much better. Could you just comment on the news ? Thanks.

Q: I am looking to establish a 10-year bond ladder within my RRSP as part of a broader effort to balance my portfolio. At present, I’m finding that my brokerage platform (BMO InvestorLine) does not consistently provide all of the details I need to make well-informed bond purchase decisions.

Question 1:
Can you recommend reliable sources or tools that provide key bond information such as credit rating, yield to maturity, seniority, and call features for Canadian bonds?

Question 2:
Is there a bond ETF you would recommend that closely replicates the structure and cash-flow characteristics of a bond ladder, as a DIY alternative to purchasing individual bonds?

Q: Practicing "let your winners run" I now find two of my stocks accounting for
29% of my portfolio of 19 stocks - CLS 18% and PNG 11%,

Is there a corresponding expression to tell when and how to decide they've run far enough and start cutting back ?

Q: Between BAM and BEPC ...which do you prefer for income and growth in this current environment? I currently have a full position of BN for growth as well as a full position in BAM which provides some income but little growth as of late. I am considering selling BAM and moving to BEPC. I would appreciate your thoughts on this please.

More recently SHOP performance has not been good. Is there any update/comment/analysis you can share with us as to why the weakness is occurring?

Q: The market reaction to the latest quarterly report didn't seem very favorable and the stock dropped quite a lot.

I listened to the conf call but didn't hear anything that would warrant such a drop unless it's the new product models delaying some product sales but over all resutls were quite strong.

What did I miss?

Q: Have 11 holdings in a Non Reg account, 5 of which are ETFs as above . The other holdings are BAM, CNQ, EIF, ENB, GLXY, PNG, ZDC.
Would like to reduce the # of ETFs and distribute proceeds into ETFs/Equities that are left.
Your thoughts on which you think would be best (if any) to eliminate with a view to a tilt towards growth. Many thanks.
