Q: If you had to choose between the CDR and the actual MSFT stock which would you choose? What account would you hold in? Is the RRSP still the only account that does not have the 15% withholding off the top? Thanks

Q: Hello Peter & Ryan,
Is there anything to explain the significant sell-off in Bombardier - on volume - that seemed to start around the 1pm hour? Is it just profit-taking after a run? 11% dip is not insignificant.
Thanks as always...

- Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN)
- Brookfield Renewable Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BEPC)
Q: Holding AQN in a dividend portfolio and down like many others. Pondering a switch to BEPC and looking for your thoughts on this move based upon prospects for total return over the next 2-3 years. I understand that in these situations looking forward is what matters but must admit I think my bitterness at the fall of AQN might be clouding my rationality a bit.
- Colliers International Group Inc. Subordinate Voting Shares (CIGI)
- Brookfield Corporation Class A Limited Voting Shares (BN)
Q: Hi
BN is 3.6% of our portfolio.
Financials are 19% of or portfolio and our Real Estate is at .50%.
Thinking of selling half of our BN and buying CIGI to reduce our financials and increase our Real Estate.
Does this make sense?
Thank you
Mike

Q: Hello,
Is there any possibility that the Trisura earnings (when announced) could best expectations and are a positive catalyst to the market? Or is this announcement almost assured that some revenue will be deferred and thus miss expectations?

Q: Follow up on my question regarding STRUCTURED NOTES as DOWNSIDE protection
1. If a specific yield (eg 6.5%) is mentioned is that guaranteed?
2. Does the buyer of the note receive the entire amount invested at a specified future date?
3. How long do these typically have to be held?
Thanks again for all your help.

Q: What is the reason for upstand large sell off after the strong rally last week?
Q: I own Google although it is not a heavy weighting in my portfolio. After this week's blunder by the company would you recommend holding or getting rid of it. Thank You.

Q: Today Harry asked
“Can you please recommend a web site or an app (free or on a paid subscription basis) for managing stocks”
I would suggest Harry to consider 5i Portfolio Analytics. I’ve been using this from it’s inception and am very satisfied.

- Eli Lilly and Company (LLY)
- UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (DE) (UNH)
- Veeva Systems Inc. Class A (VEEV)
- WELL Health Technologies Corp. (WELL)
Q: I own these four healthcare companies but would like to reduce my holdings to three. How would you rate them from best to worse. I've done the best on UNH as I've held it the longest but in looking at a long-term chart it has the poorest returns of the four. They are all so different but what three would give me the best diversification? Look forward to your opinion. Thanks.

Q: Wondering what the current status of the AQN takeover of Kentucky Power is and if you have an opinion on the likelihood of its successful completion. As a AQN stockholder I feel it might be better if it was terminated but I’m sure AQN feels it can’t say that publicly. Is there a firm deadline for a decision? Comments?

Q: Hello Peter,
I don’t have any investments in my portfolio in the emerging market, especially in China. Would you please recommend a few stocks and/or ETFs for 5 year or longer holds. If possible, please provide on each of your recommended investments an approximate price-entry point. In general, what percentage of my portfolio should be allocated for this market?
Thank you,
Roger
