Q: Hello 5i. I just watched a panel of former U.S. Fed economist, former Regional Bank CIO and Dick Bove, long time bank Analyst discussing US Regional banks on BNN. Their majority opinion is the Fed has lost all credibility with the markets, Bove has a list of 30 US regional banks he thinks are in peril, He thinks the only solution is a very deep recession. After that he sees Canadian banks having a "field day " buying US regional banks at discounts prices.

This is a very brief recap of the discussion and I am not planning to get out of the market, but this growing opinion that the Fed has lost control may cause some to greatly reduce their equity holdings.

I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Thanks, Mike

Q: What are your thoughts on longterm prospects for RIVN share price. Ugly cash flow right now, but debt not that high at the moment. Their trucks are very highly related and if they could only ramp up production, I think they could sell lots of them. The demand seems to be there. However they need to be able to weather their finances for a long enough duration to get them to the point where their supply can reach demand. I assume they can do this, but was hoping you could point out the risks and reasons why not. It could good (albeit with some risk) time to get into RIVN if one believes in the longterm success of their product? ie. lots of potential upside

Q: Could you recommend a moderately aggressive portfolio suitable for a young person with a reasonably long time horizon (5 to 10 years)? Cash available is quite small at $2,500.00.

Today we harvested profits on SHOP and closed out two equity positions being held. We wish to still gain from above average growth however it is time to diversify and take on less risk.

Thank you

Q: I have no exposure to Materials or Utilities right now in our RRSP. All other sectors are well represented. What stocks would be your preferred in Canada and/or the US in those sectors? Thinking of NTR or SJ maybe in Canada and perhaps LIN in the US. Maybe FTS or BIP for utilities.Thoughts?

Q: PLC has gone sideways this ytd compared to most of my holdings that have moved back up. It is one of my smaller holdings so wondering if it is a good time to top it up to a full position or move on to other names in the income portfolio with higher yields, likely split in BCE, TMX and SLF.
