Q: Hi, the last response (Mar '23) on JWEL was ..."It's 18X earnings, we think 15X would be a better price point.", what would 15x equate to in stock price?
Has anything else changed since the release of Q1 results that gives you more hope or that we have seen perhaps a bottom in the stock price? It hit a 52 week low yesterday. There has been insider buying last 3-6 months vs sells. Has this essentially become a value stock now vs growth?
I do not own but it is on my watch list.
Q: In a recent answer concerning NTR you mentioned it is trading at 9.6x Forward P/E. Where do you find a company’s forward P/E? Do you calculate it using the numbers pertaining to the company found under the Market Data tab? If so what numbers do you use? Thanks … Cal
Q: PJAN— Innovator U.S. Equity Power Buffer ETF (not in your data base). This ETF sounds fascinating. The fund sheet demonstrates the manager’s fondness for complex word choices and I am not sure that I understood the fund info. Would you be good enough please to explain the ETF’s strategy and tactics?
Is this a security *you* would buy and in what market conditions? Your reasoning with a bit of substance would be very valuable. Thank you.
Q: You'll probably get a lot of this today...but what are your thoughts on the effect that the news from TIXT will have on Telus for the foreseeable future?
Q: Hi,
I'm wondering what your thoughts are regarding Telus' reducing 2023 guidance. I've had it for a while and while price is under my buy in as of today's drop, dividends cover that. Do you think the reaction today is overdone, or is it time to move to something more profitable? I'm an active investor, so tend to follow the momentum. I am concerned T has been steadily losing momentum since last May 2022 and am thinking with this change in fundamental outlook, that trajectory will continue for a while. Dividends are nice to have, but are not worth having if the stock's price continues to deteriorate. It would be interested to know what you would suggest as a replacement at this time? BCE, NVDA, GOOG, MSFT, WSP, Cdn banks are all currently owned, no Health Care exposure and what seems like too much energy exposure lately. Add to something? Find something new? Cdn or US doesn't matter. Sorry - lots of questions here, so deduct accordingly.
Can you tell me more about this ETF? Their annual dividend is 10.295% as per tmx money and looking at their holdings are solid dividend paying blue chip companies.Since June 2021 their dividends are increasing. Is this worth investing for income and is dividend safe?
Q: Hi - can you give a brief synopsis of your stance on the company and what you like and dislike? Also what their general risks are from a competition, macro and execution viewpoint? Are the risks a high probability or the same as most other businesses. Basically, I'm trying to determine if the company is now sustainable and has carved out a good "spot" and should be a long term winner.
Q: i have a large position in athabaska, the oil stocks seem to have finally found their legs.
i want to add one more oil, small cap, cdn, with the most upside. risk is not a factor.

Q: In 2015 your growth portfolio was down 4.8% and your income portfolio was down 5.5% as a result I would have expected your balanced portfolio to have declined yet it was up 9.5%
Could you explain that outperformance?
Q: We have small positions of the above stocks in a well diversified portfolio. Which would you recommend holding and adding to vs eliminating completely?
Q: It's hard to beat a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, but can you please provide your updated thoughts on the Hershey Company as a long term hold. It seems to have decent revenue and earnings growth for a Consumer Defensive stock, but I am concerned about its debt level. The stock price has really pulled back since early May.
Q: On Jun 21st, you responded to A regarding stocks for a TFSA. My son has a smaller TFSA but a longer time frame. He currently holds ZSP in his TFSA and we have been looking at adding some stocks. We like all the ones you suggested, but some of them are also in the top ten holdings of ZSP. Would you suggest adding the individual stocks anyway? Or selling ZSP and holding only stocks? Our initial plan was to make ZSP about 20% of this TFSA and then hold 8-10 stocks. Also, what do you think of adding AXON and AMD to his TFSA at this time? Thank you.
Q: Hello, I own VMW, and could you help me understand the take over price from AVGO? The current take over price is at $ 61B or $ 142.50/share in cash, and today the stock is at trading at ~ $ 157.00 ..
Also, we can elect 0.250 of Broadcom share. If this is correct, at today's price of AVGO at $ 900.00 , I can get ~~ $ 225.00/share for VMW...
I appreciate if you can clarify my options.
Thanks
