Q: I've had it with my entire pack of pref shares ( individual and ETF) and am ready to punt the lot. I'd like to replace them all with a bond ETF or even a diversified Canadian equity ETF that pays dividends. Your suggestions are most appreciated. Thanks

Q: BAM, BEP and EIF are each at about 2.7% of my total holdings. I can top up one to 5%. Which would you choose and why? And if the answer is 'none of the above', please suggest two Canadian companies with dividends >4% with some growth you would recommend, irrespective of sector. (T, NPI and SU already held and not wishing to increase my investment here at this time.) Thank you.

Q: Good day,

Can I please have your updated analysis of Equinix? I have read all past questions on this stock dating back to 2016. Many of your responses mentioned high debt levels, low inside ownership and high valuation. Are these still factors? I have a small position but am trying to decide whether to add to make it a more meaningful position.

Thank you,

Q: There has been a few questions over the years and recently on stock weightings and sector weightings. This is my story. My portfolio has 92 % in technology and 8 % in financial services with a total of 10 companies. One stock is 39% of the overall stock value. I use the theory of buying the best of the best and hold forever. I am very happy with my choice of asset allocations and don’t see the need for change. I am 67 years old and my average gain, for the last 14 years has been slightly more 21% per year. My thoughts is that if you are happy and know the risks don’t change - I am happy with my selections. I read 4 to 5 hours every day on the specific stocks, sectors and political articles. I look at stock charts weekly. Anything that might affect my stocks or the stock market, I read. Last year my portfolio dropped almost 40 % but this year I am up more than 60 %. In summary stick within your comfort zone. Clayton

Q: The S&P is now 25% above the low of October. Based on the statistics from previous recoveries ( you had an interesting report on these, which I can't find) where are we (likely) now? Near top of recovery phase or with significant room to run?? Thanks Jim

Q: Hi, Thanks for sharing your recent views on Telus, based on the T/TIXT, reduced guidance. In your opinion, and based on recent commentary, how long it might take for TIXT to overcome the pressure on its revenues/profits and in turn, stop being a drag on its parent Telus ? The issue is that even if Telus continues to report great numbers for its core business, TIXT pressure will likely keep a lid on share price of Telus and dividend alone will not be enough to cover it.

Considering the opportunity cost of the capital for this time period, we would like to offload full or at least half of our position, over next few days, in 2/3 tranches.

Based on the technicals/charts, what is the price range, you would use to liquidate ?

Thank You

Q: Good day,

Can I get your take on Blackrock’s earnings? Revenue growth seems to have slowed but do you see anything to worry about for a long term investor? I have a small position and am thinking of adding. Would you consider it an add or a hold for a long-term position and your reasoning, please?

Thank you,

Q: Hi 5i Team - I have been reading your responses to questions on CTS Technologies and am still not sure of whether this is a stock to hold on to. You mentioned in one response that the net debt is $320 but said that it has a healthy balance sheet in another response. Is the debt a concern? Small revenue growth is expected over the next few years but strong earnings growth is expected after this year. This appears to be a contradiction but perhaps not - could you please explain. Maybe I have not read this correctly. Also it was made clear that a long time frame is needed. Would this be three to five years - or more. Thanks.

Q: I'm now down over 60% on this company, where does an investor go to get reliable company information. Is there any value in this company or is it going the same way as EGLX & a few others that I've sold recently it always comes as a surprise announcement and the average investor is left wondering the information that is available is tainted to say the least.

Q: ALL hit another 52-wk low 14 July. It has done *miserably* compared to AFL. Yet , ALL remains a long-time member of the AAII Model Dividend portfolio. AFL is long-time favorite in the portfolio of “Crossing Wall St” ( the latter now has an ETF under the symbol CWS). Do you consider ALL oversold ? Is it a good value at around at USD 101 assuming two more Fed rate hikes of 25 basis points each? Or would you instead favor AFL?

If you are not impressed with EITHER of the above insurance companies, do you have a dividend payer you do favor? Your reasoning please, it always helps, thanks.

Q: Hi team,

Here are three Nasdaq stocks on which it seem you have never commented: Biomea Fusion (bmea-q) and MoonLake Immunotherapeutics (mltx-q), two healthcare stocks and Symbotic (sym-q) an ai stock. Also, a Canadian energy stock which had a nice progression in the last 3 years: Arrow Exploration (axl-t).

Grateful for your view on these. Do any look promising from a growth point of view ? Enough to buy now ?

Please deduct as many credits as you see fit.

Thank you in advance for your attention.
