Q: The large E&P companies are behaving like its 2008 all over again. What are you thoughts on companies such as CNQ as well as more integrated ones like CVE and SU? Would you prefer to sell the shovels and hold something like FTT? Thanks!

Q: Do you have any thoughts on Enerflex given your sentiments about expanded government investment in renewable (wind, solar)? Thanks Peter!
Q: A couple of weeks ago I thought I heard an analyst state on BNN that 2012 is shaping up like 2008. Given that he saw a major drop in the markets comes September. Any thoughts here? Technical indicators?
Thanks,
Ronald

Q: Is your answer to Gary on renewable energy companies at odds with your "A" rating on bep.un?
Q: Hi Peter,
I am liking the takeover frenzy in the market these days and I liked your article about booking profits while the takeover rumours are still alive. I lost some money in Avon expecting it to be taken over however I made many times more in Miranda.
My question is on a few companies that might have some takeover winds blowing. Specifically what do you think about OCQ which produces SSD drives, BBY and XRC which is in the gold sector with the lowest value per ounce in the ground 76 cents in cash, and 30 million or so gold resources trading at only 1.40.
Thanks

Q: HLF - NYSE Just wondering what you think of Herbalife? Did a Glentel on shareholders but with the recent numbers looks like an interesting opportunity.
Q: Any insight on ELD? I am down -14% in past month. Should I continue to hold or would you suggest selling? Thanks!
Q: Peter, what am i missing, in the national post stock picking contest mmt was your top pick, but when a few different people asked you a question in this forum on mmt, you were somewhat cautious saying you will have a report later in the year, there is country risk etc etc.,so what gives, why put it in national post as a top pick.
Q: Hi, I own shares in a number of renewable energy companies. Do you think sustained cheaper natural gas could be a long term threat to renewable energy projects and comanies (especially wind and solar) as a relatively green alternative/replacement, as new tech advances could keep nat gas prices low for some time and the market is quick to adapt. Thx.
Q: Dear Peter:
Thanks so much for your good work. Do you have an opinion on Parkland fuel (PKL) and Gibson Energy(GEI). I presently own these two and am considering adding to my position. Also what are feelings on Enercare (ECI)which I also bought at 8.98?
All the best

Q: Peter could you please give me your views on Medipattern - mki - They seem to be doing great things in medical software but share price continues to lag.
Thanks Mark

Q: Hello Peter,
Just wondered if you have had a look at Mart Resources (MMT TSX-V) lately. Div of almost 14% & descent drill results. Not in the most stable part of the world, but the Co. looks promising. Buy, hold or sell ?
Thanks in anticipation.

Q: What are your thoughts on Magna Interntional (MG)? Thanks.
Q: Peter and team. Thanks for your excellent work. Curious of your opinion on Ram Power (RPG). Any value down here at $0.20. Looks like they might need to raise more capital or do a deal with someone like Sprott Resource Lending but long term electrical power contracts have to be worth something. Is it worth a flyer here in your opinion? Thanks.
Q: Now that TransAlta has the court decision behind them wrt starting up the shut down generator, is this a good time to buy TranAlta?
Thanks
Darcy

Q: Peter..further to MCAN (MKP)..surprised to see that their dividend is taxable as interest...is this normal?
Q: I'd appreciate your thoughts on Western Wind Energy's (WND) announcement that they will be selling the company.
I was going to buy back into the company when it was trading in the low to mid $1.20's but with a busy job and a busy summer I forgot.
Now I see it shoot up and I am regretting my lack of attention. However I'm loath to chase it.
The previous offer was around $2.5 and WND wants that as the low end and WND's assessed value as the higher end.
Does a company have any bargaining power after they refuse an offer, the stock drops lower, and then they decide to sell?? I look forward to your comments.

Q: Peter,
Am setting my 14 year old son up with an account so he can start learning and saving early. Room for only 2-3 stocks and he has to be able to understand the business. Thinking of a bank (TD or National), Brookfield Renewable, and a tech stock. Any recommendations on the tech side?
Petra

Q: Could I pls have your view on CPX in view of their latest quarterly results which on the surface look pretty ugly and the stock has sold off. Is this a near term hiccup/ good LT buying opportunity or is it wise to wait to see improvement in CPX's results over next few quaters.Thx.
Q: Genivar GNV has a lower purchase price and a larger dividend than STN. Are they involved in similar engineering activities? Would GNV be close to STN in terms of overall current valuation and annual growth from dividend and capital gain.
Thank you Alan
