Q: In response:
"don't know the exact reasons a stock might go down a few percent."

I can sympathise with the difficult a frustration of answering questions on something that just changes a few per cent in line with normal market action. Without speaking for others: when I see this happening to one of my holdings, my question is not exactly why it went down the normal market action amount but more specifically did something happen that I missed. It is difficult for the small investor to get any negative news within 24 hours. If there is bad news, we often don't get it until the security is seriously down. Perhaps the question should not be why did it go down but is there anything new which we don't know about.

Q: Hopefully not an odd question, but I hear and read comments and investors talking about short, medium and long term in reference to their holdings. In your opinion, could you define your thoughts on actual timelines for each? I realize this is subjective, I just want you thoughts on how you might define them.

Q: Comment more than a question. Well done to Peter on his BNN appearance yesterday. I would imagine there would be a growth in subscibers as a result. I also imagine the quality and success of the service would add to members. Is there any thought to capping the number of subscribers? (thinking of the difficulty of handling questions if there are a large number of people asking).

Q: Thoughts on ENT? It has been growing earnings rather quickly through accretive acquisitions. I know its not exactly in your ball park as it does raise equity and will likely continue to do so as it grows.

Thanks

Q: Peter,

I want your opinion on ASR and SGY. I own both and both have fallen more than 25% since I purchased them. Both seem good from earnings standpoint with forward PE's of less than 10. ASR is also about to pay 25C in special dividend. What would you do in this situation. Sell and take the loss or hold for positive return on investment down the road. Thanks

Q: Money on the sidelines - I've read the phrase many times over the years and not questioned it until now. I think your answer is right as far as it goes, but I think there are other sources of money other than the zero sum result of a stock sale. These would be, I believe, new money - both domestic and foreign, money from fixed income sales as well as commodity sales.

DB

Q: Love the Site. Keep it up!
I bought last summer bmpi Bill My Parents in the USA.
Average price 70 cents. Now its 40 cents.
They market prepaid cards to young and are money management solutions company that provides a text message when purchase is made to alert kids and parent.
Interesting technology, they signed Justin Bieber who will be doing marketing campaigns soon. And recently the company has hired top executives from former big companies like Wells Fargo and Amex. They want to do a reverse split to make the share price more attractive and will change the name of the company.
From what you see is there a Future in bmpi?

Q: Hi Peter and Team, can you please help me understand what to do with shares of Inmet Mining, IMN? Purchased at 69.70 due to the 72.00 offer by FM. Interesting news release today by Inmet that shareholders reject tendering, yet shares were down to 68.79. Thanks!
