Q: Could I get your opinion on the latest quarter report on imris. I was not all that impressed but the stock has actually done ok.

Q: Hey guys. Was thinking of shaving positions off of several reits I’ve ridden from when they were yielding in the high 6%, 7%, and 8% to now when they are “only” yielding in the low 5% range or slightly under for new shareholders (ie pmz.un, kmp – I guess kmp is not really a reit but anyway…).
Was thinking of substituting those names for other high yielding vehicles like weq.un, fc, bpf.un, eif (hopefully on pullbacks). With these moves I’m hoping to increase my monthly dividend income a little and pocket the difference waiting for any possible market correction. What do you think? Totally horrible idea? I dont expect comments on each of these names, just a general sense if its a decent strategy.

Q: Hi Peter, I really appreciated your thoughtful response to my July 27 question on Student Transportation (STB). Please comment on the significance of (1) STB's share price pattern since the short-seller's report was released, (2) any movement in the shorts pool from the 1.6 million level, 3) the dividend burden in shorting high-yielding equities, and (4) yesterday's filing with SEDAR indicating that the Caisse's holdings in STB have just edged up over the 10% line (approx 7.6m shares).
(Thanks so much and I promise not to bug you for a while after this one!)

Q: loy buy sell hold?
Q: I am interested in your opinion of AR-t. It has done well for us in the past. Thank-you
Q: TIL.UN, Tree Island Wire Income Fund. Do you know anything about this company? It's been on my watch list a while and keeps performing absurdly well (up 135% ytd). It's an income fund, yet the Globe says it has no yield...
Q: 5 N plus, one of your old favorites?
Buy?
Buy?
Q: I would appreciate your opinion on WEQ.UN
Is it a good buy? Is it a good buy at this time?

Q: Hey guys, is there a 5i research etiquette on how often members can ask questions?
What do you think of par.un's financing deal, announced yesterday. Are the debentures convertable into shares only if par.un's shareprice climbs above $10.35? If this is the case sounds like a pretty good deal for shareholders. Am I missing something?
Also what did you think of par.un's Q2 report?
Thanks again.

Q: Hi Peter and Team
Thanks for the great Website and Question Forum!!
Can you comment on AvenEx (AVF)? Its most recent quarter seems to indicate that they are in big trouble with current commodity prices and are almost certainly going to cut the dividend.
Can they survive this?
Thanks!

Q: re: cus
given the weak quarter that was just reported, should one wait for the next quarterly results to confirm managements positive guidance for the remainder of the year - before considering adding to one's position?
or is this a stock that one can comfortable add to on current share price weakeness?
thanks...

Q: Wow. Totally stumped here. Why does New Zealand focussed Tag Oil (TAO) need to own a 40% chunk of a tiny Montana gold mining company (Coronado - CRD)? Thanks for any thoughts!
Q: Hey, guys. Any thoughts about aet.un? Are their prospects any better than plt.un which have been not good, to put it kindly, and egl.un, which I guess is still a wait and see story?
Q: Hi Peter and team, have you ever come across TVI Pacific, TVI? Head office is in Calgary and had a couple interesting board members in the past. Something strange about this company! Just wondering if you had any input on this one.
Also, what are your thoughts on BTB.UN? Especially if interest rates remain low for a while still, 8+% yield.
Thanks, Hussein

Q: Do you have any comments about WTE?
Q: Hello Peter,
I own canadian helicopter. I just looked at the stock price in Globe and Mail. There are two canadian helicopter stocks (chl.a and chl.b). 'a' went down 66 cents and 'b' went up 2.49. How come one went up and the other went down? 'b' is classed as a variable voting share on the canadian helicopter website. What does this mean, and is it better to own type 'a' or 'b' stock? susanna

Q: weq.un-t buy sell hold?
Q: I would be very interested if you could shed light on the process of equity raises in Canada. Specifically the potential conflict between a good investment banking client and a less than stellar company. Also, if you could shed light on financing cycles and how to know if "too much paper" is in a sector or space (or not enough). Much appreciated, Thanks.
Q: Chorus Aviation is paying a 17% dividend. Is this a good company to invest in? Please advise. Thank you.
Q: Hi, I'm wondering about Currie Rose - it was talked about alot before the recession on BNN but like all juniors it pretty much crashed. Illiquid, small, needing continuous finance like all juniors, but do you have any viewpoints on it? Could it one day become like a Goldquest? Thx.
