Q: Hi Peter. Is there a way for an individual small investor to "play" or take advantage of oil or natural gas as a commodity without having to purchase shares in a company. I was watching natural gas earlier this year when it dropped below $2 and figured it might be a buying opportunity but didn't know how to take advantage of it. Anything you can suggest will be helpfull, or should I avoid the sector entirely? Thanks in advance, Bo

Q: Hi Peter. What is your opinion of the Canadian oil and natural gas sectors for the next 12 months. Is this a good time to buy or do you see further downside to oil and gas pricing.
Q: Hi Peter!
Could you tell me what you think of Paladin Labs (PLB TSX). Would you consider it a buy?

Q: Hi Peter,
Do you view Canadian Helicopters Group Inc (CHL) as being both a growth stock and a dividend grower?
What are the potential risks beyond being somewhat linked to the mining sector?
Do you see them being beneficiaries of the massive influx of money to the Plan Nord project in Quebec?
Is this pullback a good entry point? Is there a specific reason for the pullback?
Thanks in advance.

Q: I would like your opinion on Direct Cash Payment (DCI-T). It was recommended on BNN recently. Has a nice dividend. Thank-you.
Q: Portfolio Allocation: What %max and %min range do you recommend for one small cap stock in a portfolio? What is the maximum number of small caps do you recommend in a portfolio? I realize there is no definite answer but, if you could give a range or an opinion I would appreciate it.
Q: Asset Allocation: My time horizon is 8 to 10 Years before I retire. What approx. asset allocation would you recommend? What percentage would you have in small caps, large caps, fixed income, etc? I currently have approx. 55% cash and I am trying to deploy it carefully by buying good dividend stocks. Thanks!
Q: Hi Peter: Could you please give me your thoughts on AQN. The dividend is reasonable, but the beta seems high for a utility.
Thank you.

Q: Peter,
Do you have any insight into the Solar power sector. I remember long time ago when you were at Sprott, WFR was one of your favorite stocks. The sector has been decimated. Do you see any light at the end of the tunnel or we should avoid the tunnel altogether?

Q: I have purchased shares in PKI. There is a nice cash dividend. There is an offer for investors to join a DRIP which would increase the dividend by 2%. This is tempting. It looks like this offers expires on June 20th. What are the cons to doing this? Do I become locked in? Please give me your opinion.
Q: Hi Peter; I enjoyed your weekend article in FP... good perspective.
TA has been beaten up (justifiably, perhaps). Would you view the current $17 price as attractive for a long term hold in a TFSA?

Q: Hi Peter
I am a new member and this is my first question. I would like to know if you have an opinion on AGF.B. This is one of the losers in my portfolio. I bought it for the yield plus a positive recommendation from RBC where I have an account.

Q: Peter,
TOL keeps falling nearly everyday and now my position in TOL is at less than 50% of my purchase price. Based on their resources, production and other facts, it is poised to be a good takeover candidate, but the price is a matter of concern and does not move up even with positive movement in either oil or natural gas prices. What should one do in such a situation. Buy more or sell and get out. Thanks
