Q: Hi,
"The mysteries of the market" - I'm not sure what to make of the market reaction to Tecnoglas' earnings and the ongoing reaction of the market to Lantheus? Could you perhaps enlighten me!
Cheers, Chris
Q: Could you comment on their most recent quarter? They seemed to have significant momentum going into Covid and I was wondering if you feel they have, or will, recover that growth? Are they comparing well to others in the industry? Finally, do you expect them to continue regular dividend increases?
Are you able to provide an update on Eli Lilly which had a big move today? Would you continue to recommend it as a buy even after the price gain today?
Comparing it to Lantheus and Perion (very different industries and company size) which one do you feel more bullish on for a longer term hold?
I would appreciate your thoughts on how the arrival of new diabetes/weight loss drugs (Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro) might potentially impact the future revenues at Body Contour Centers? Could the advent of these new medications not have a significant potential impact on the existing players in the weight loss space?
Are you able to provide an estimate of what proportion of Alaris Equity Partners' existing annual income is attributable to their investment in Body Contour Centers?
Q: Last week I bought some shares in BEPC, stock was up next day so I sold for a profit.
In my TD account they took back 10% of the sale, not the profit but the sale. When I contacted TD they said it was a withholding tax and that I will receive a T5013 for my 2023 taxes. So according to this rationale I sold at a profit but now have a loss. TD told me to contact Brookfield to clarify and I am now anticipating a "he said, she said" argument between these 2 groups. Is this something you have encountered before and if so can you advise on how to cut to the chase here.
Q: Do you prefer BNS or TD for total return potential from here?
In other answers you seem to prefer TD overall as a better company, but with BNS being close to its 52-week low once again and with a yield of over 6.5%, wondering if BNS is the better pick at current levels?
I'm a young investor so long time horizon and no need for dividend income, thus looking more a total return potential.
Q: Is Paypal’s growth over? Competition is fierce in fintech. Yesterday, PYPL announced a stablecoin backed by the U.S. dollar for crypto conversions. Is this a potential catalyst or too little too late? Are Paypal’s best days behind it? Would you buy it here?
Q: If I'm correct, 5i likes SHOP and has been suggesting it's a top growth prospect. Can you explain what's happening with the stock since it released earnings. It beat estimates and provided what I thought was a good future picture. But the stock has been dropping. 5i has said if you liked the stock before earnings release, you should like it much more now. It seems analysts see something negative as most have been maintaining a 'hold' rating or moving to sell. I don't see any upgrades but maybe I missed them. Also, insiders have been net sellers of late. Can you provide an assessment of things? Stock has had a very good ride so far this year. What price do you see as level of support? How low might it go? Is it still a top growth pick? thanks
Q: Hi Team
According to portfolio analytics I need to increase my industrial weighting by 7%. At present I have AMAT, CNR and LRCX. CNR is the largest weighting here.
At present my portfolio is 7% Industrials and I should be at 14%.
I also own ZSP and XIU but I am not sure if analytics accounts for the specific sector weights there when it figures out your weighting or if it only counts as a broad spectrum diversification.
Which stocks would you recommend adding. This is a non registered account.
Thanks for your help.
Victoria
Q: Two companies so please go ahead and take two credits to allow for a detailed reply for each.
DMTK: Any life in this? I have always loved the idea of accurate, non-invasive skin cancer detection but this has not done well. Is there upside at current levels or is it likely to be bought out? It's hard to see how the tech is not more widely adopted by doctors.
NVCR: What happened to this one? Problem with their technology or just not producing numbers to keep Wall St. happy? Any upside given the extreme pullback?
Q: would like more info about the proposed take-over of HAI by ET.Is this totally of the rails now?Can you tell me what ET's position is in HAI and if ET is still slowly buying shares of HAI.
What are your thoughts here, would there be good synergies?
If you had to pick 5 take over candidates, which ones would you pick?
