Q: Peter, et al
No question, just a couple of thoughts. I'm not sure how "tireless" your resource people are, but it seems to me that on this forum you are getting so many questions on companies that you do not profess to follow that it must be taxing on those who are trying to give the best answer possible (and perhaps, more importantly, taking their time away actually doing reports on companies you want to cover). Have you thought of opening a monitered members chat room on your site? This might be: a) a lot of fun for all, and b) relieve some of the increased questioning which you are receiving. Also, re: the latter, simply saying "we haven't looked at this company and so cannot responsibly reply to your question" is a valid answer and one that, I would think, most would accept. (perhaps you already do this with off line responses). Anyway, thanks for all the great work.

Q: Hi Peter, all this talk about this "Fiscal Cliff" are we as investors also at the edge, how can it affect us, is there something that we can do or should do to protect our investments from going over the edge into the abyss. Thanks

Q: You have already commented on OSK's bid for Queenstone Mining - thank you.
Appreciate your comments on the continued high short position on this company for the past 2 years. The Short Interest of 31.04m equates to about 8% of the existing Float and approximately 22% Short Interest Ratio (I may be wrong on this ratio).
Granted that there is a high short position on many commodity companies as well as financials and utilities on the TSX, but does the "smart money" know something that will cause the price of OSK to tank?
Do you still "like OSK a lot, and hope to cover it"?

Q: Hi Peter:

Wondering if you could please give me your view on Ag Growth given its continued slide.Has the fear of a dividend cut grown since the last time you commented on it (Oct.13)?

Thanks

Q: Hi Peter
Do you see any signs yet that ATP has found a bottom. I've been buying shares for income in the $12-$12.50 range. Any other comments?
Thanks Larry

Q: I was planning to take a small position in CML (CLC) but the last few days volatility put me on hold. Having said that, I think the valuation now looks very attractive. My main concern about the stock is its debt level/refinancing risk but looking at their Q2 report, the company has a swap on $200M in debt at about 2.25% fixed rate for another 4 years - which I think is a positive. Would you recommend to take a position at these level, wait until the volatility settles down or buy 1/2 position now and the remainder in a few weeks ? Based on your research, is there more to the stock weakness than the possible dividend cut ? I am planning to hold the stock for the long term and wouldn't mind a reduced sustainable dividend. Thank you.

Q: Peter do you have any thoughts on Essential Energy Services (ESN)? It has recently had a pullback and I am wondering why?

Q: Hi Peter, further on IBI Group (IBG), this seems odd, with such a negative Q3 report containing the following guidance:

"As a result of the above efforts, EBITDA1 for the fourth quarter is expected to result in the Company's highest to date."

That would be a pretty quick turnaround, wouldn't it? What do you make of the guidance? Thanks!

Q: I have used Globeinvestor for years but in the last year or so I find their server to be often slow (not to mention their new subscripton fee). Can you please recommend a free reliable alternative ? and specific to the globeinvestor website, can we rely on the financial statments information it provides. I usually use Globeinvestor website for a preliminary review of companies that I research. Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter,

WOF has been a trading range for quite some time. Do you think a buy at the 32 cent level is a good bet. What would be the fundamentals to buy this company now as if people know the potential wouldn't they have bumped up the price already. Thanks

Q: My wife and I (she-RRSP), (me-RRIF)buy our stocks online with Qtrade. We are considering buying bank stock and doing the DRIP. We were also considering SPP, but the stocks have to be in our name. We're not bright enough to figure out how we can do the SPP and DRIP for a moderate amount of banks shares to start without incurring the wrath of the CRA. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dale

Q: Hello Team,
I read where Leons [LNF] is buying The Brick. The commentary I read referenced Target's entry into Canada. I don't see Target as being furniture & household furnishings focused. Can I have you initial thoughts on this transaction? Thanks.....Ron
