Q: Hello 5 I
I have a question on CHH (Centric Health). When you last responded about this company in April you suggested things were improving, but you would want to see positive results continue through another qtr.

Second Qtr results appeared to be positive with increasing revenue and some restructuring of debt which is to improve cash flow by as much as $10 million annually. The market responded positively but gave back all its gains on an announcement yesterday that changes will go ahead on the OHIP funding model for publically funded pyhisotherapy.

My question is has your opinion on CHH changed? As well is the current weakness a 'headline news' reaction or will it materially affect CHH going forward?

Regards,
Bob

Q: I have approximately 7% of my portfolio in high yield bond funds and with interest rates expected to go up I was thinking of switching some into insurance companies such as sun life and GWl. Do you think that is a sound strategy? Thanks

Q: Hi Peter and Team, if Lightstream, LTS, formerly Petrobakken, PBN, was to cut its dividend payout by 50% or more and/or if the DRIP was cancelled then would that materially affect the current stock price to move in a positive direction? Wouldn't this be in the best interest of all shareholders? Why not cut the dividend substantially for now, while oil prices are high, take a hit, which they already are in terms of share price anyway, and start paying down debt much faster while oil prices are co-operating? Seems as though this would only help the share price for the long term! Thanks!

Q: Reference to Hussein question about cashing in a defined benefits pension plan. I did exactly that as interests rates are very low yielding a very high payout. The payout depending on your age will have a cash portion which will be taxed at your marginal rate. The tax sheltered portion can go to a LIRA or a Life Income Fund, which is what I did. All I have to earn in return from the funds left over after paying the tax on the cash is 5.5% to equal what my pension would have been. I am getting that with Canadian dividends companies. Also remember that you will have money to give to your heirs once you go but with a pension plan all bets are off. A good source of pension info is "The Pension Puzzle" which is written for Canadians by Canadians. Moshe Milvesky has written some good books on pensions so check them out especially the ones written for Canadians.
