What are your thoughts on MFC Industrial Limited. Currently trading at 20% below book value. The CEO is value oriented and has returned well for shareholders long term.

Q: SSL - Sandstorm Gold. This stock dropped almost 7% this morning and is well off its highs. Would this be a buying opportunity to average out my holdings - or would it be more like catching a falling knife?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: hello 5i:
more a comment than a question. I noted today, as I do most days, that people are concerned when a certain stock drops, mostly by an insignificant amount. Yesterday, it was CSU (thank God, we were finally able to buy some!!!), but my comment is more directed at knee jerk reactions by people. This site has stated openly and often that they are not day-traders and thats why so many of us are attracted here (the returns, answers to questions, company analysis etc are important as well), so why are people asking about changes that even most swing traders don't worry about? I would encourage you to confront this issue, only so that it does not get out of hand; for us your subscribers and for your general sanity. Possibly more of these people should have the majority of their investments in GICs? Do you see a way out of this?
You may use any part or all of this if you wish to make a statement to the general membership as I'm sure most will agree with me.
Lastly: is there some way you can inform readers that material changes to company evaluations WILL be transmitted, in a timely manner, to subscribers?
thanks
Paul

Q: Hi guys, any information on KWH.UN, Crius Energy Trust.
Q: Hi Peter & 5i: Further to Heather's question about bond and debentures listings, I have found this to be a useful starting place: http://www.financialpost.com/markets/data/bonds-debentures.html You can play with the "select your market" drop-down menu to check out the other categories. Some of the basic info is there in table form and then when you go to Sedar for the other details it helps if you know exactly which security you are looking for. I have one question though: can you explain the "Parity" column for me. Thanks
