Q: Hi Peter any thoughts on Anderson Energy (AXL)? JC Anderson had success in prior companies but I guess this time around they got burned in the low price nat gas environment hence their focus into oil, I believe 35% oil exposure currently ( Cardium). They have a high debt load but management believes the market isn't putting the correct value on the company and hence the strategic review. 7 months have elasped since they intiated the strategic review so a positive outcome is looking less likely.
Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter, you must get tired of answering these similar questions on capital power and Brookfield renewable. As you know Capital is near a one year low and really near a 5 year low. Sure looks like a time to buy to me with 6% yield. With this past years trading record ,is it a good safe investment for the long run. I mean 5 years or more? I will not buy anything with a div. under 5% and Brookfield is so close, with the news on Brazil. I lean towards Capital with a bit higher yield and the potential problems in Brazil for Brookfied. Your thoughts please with the recent drop in Capital. Thanks for the patience and good advice, Ken

Q: Hi Peter,

Considering the recent strength in the gold sector, what is going to be your best stock picks of the sector in the junior to midcap space. Also is it better to instead buy an ETF like ZJG to play the sector recovery?

Thanks

Q: Hi, could you pls comment on correction in Bell(BCE) and Telus(T) vs. Rogers(RCI.B) which has held steady. Anything to be concerned with group re competition bureau litigation, or with BCE re CTRC review of Bell-Astral deal? Or is correction in BCE and T due more to rotation from defensive to growth names? Are they good value here? Thanks..

Q: Exco Technologies - Peter, I was checking out the IR presentation on the company's website and it memory serves me - Exco has really broadened their customer base for the casting and extrusion segement of their business. I thought Chryslet was their big customer but now I see Ford, Mercedes, Honda and General Motors....any comments you can add - is this new business or diversification of their customer base ?

Q: CLT
Celtic Exploration has been on a good roll lately but at $18.55 it is still a long way off its 52 week high of $27. Would you hold or sell? Thanks.

Q: Could I get your opinion on T- OER. Would you buy it at this price because of past performance of management and how is the valuation? Or is Nigeria too risky to be invested in for very long. Thanks

Q: Peter, Thanks for the great site and advice. I'd like to buy a non-North American bank. I'm looking at Banco Santander (SAN) or Banco Bilboa (BBVA). Is either a reasonable buy? I have a high risk tolerance. If not, can you suggest something with a 5% dividend.
Thanks
Kyle

Q: Hi Peter: Could I please have your thoughts on Innvest REIT. I have held reits before, but primarily through an ETF, (XRE). I believe this one is a franchisor of hotels vs what i am accustomed to, i.e. commercial real estate property owner.

Thanks, David

Q: I have been following SAN Gold SGR , It was badly oversold because of a production miss caused by a broken ball mill and a one month repair . Now it has rebounded nicely . It is in the same set of rocks as GoldCorp`s Red Lake Mine and is starting to look much the same at depth. However I am leary of all gold stocks but friends tell me this is the time to jump because of QE FOREVER . What do you think I should do ?

Q: WIN
- do you feel the recent QE3 should positively impact WIN?
- after the US court ruling in favour of apple, WIN's stock increased about 30-40cents. Do you believe these are related and did that ruling increase the legal strength of WIN's patents? (If so any in particular that you're aware of?)
- In the 5iResearch report on WIN it was commented that most tech stocks trade at 18X and WIN was at below 10X. Is WIN undervalued by an inefficient market or is something being missed?

I hope you're still a proponent of "buy" with WIN as I took a position today. Thanks as always for the wealth of information this website provides.

Q: Thoughts on the recent US Q3?
Do you feel it was open ended and will continue into any recovery and thereby make companies less concerned about interest rates?

Thoughts on Euro bonds?
