Q: I took a position in Equity Financial a while back and was up about 12% before the departure of an executive. I invested in EQI partly because I had missed the boat on HCG at about the $55 dollar mark after the shorting noise. Now I'm about at break even on EQI and wondering what to do. I liked the growth potential of EQI and the fact that you liked management, and I liked the bargain price of HCG at $55. Should I sell EQI and look at Counsel CXS, perhaps, or maybe Wi-Lan is turning the corner? You will probably say I should go with HGC, but it is hard for me to pay $77 for a stock I could have had at $53.(Maybe I should just get over that missed opportunity.) I am mainly after growth at a bargain (don't need a dividend) in any sector. Maybe RKN Redknee? I currently have a pretty good replica of the model portfolio. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you, for a service that is so good that I can't believe it exists. So glad to say good-bye to my broker.

Q: What do you think of Arcelor Mittal MT on NYSE as a buy right now. Is their good growth potential in next year or so?
Thanks

Q: ZED - Zedi I was checking up on ZED and noticed a few thousand shares bought by Pershing but not nearly as much as Raymond James. Might this be a catalyst for getting attention?
Q: Hi Team
I am holding NVS in my RSP and am down about 45%. Do you see any other bid coming for NVS?
Would like to use the funds for BXE.
I also have TOU, IPL, KBL, HCG & ALA (all about 5% each) in the same portfolio, or would you suggest some other from the model portfolio.
Thanks

Q: Do you think Paladin Labs (PLB) and CI Financial (CIX)? are getting overpriced? Both have forward P/E at over 20 and 18 respectively.
If you think they are worth holding on to, what metrics would you look at and at what values of these metrics would they become a sell? Or is it just experience that tells you when its time to leave the party?

Q: BPY.UN This may be a duplicate as my Q disappeared but I did not submit.
Would you advise buying Brookfield Properties LP and is it too early as there is still a month to go for the deal to be done? I want to hold it in my RSP so prefer BPY.UN: are there any pros/cons to BPY vs BPY.UN?

Q: Hello 5I, there is an article on GlobeInvestor Gold about corn prices and a retreat from ethanol: "Prices dropped again this month on reports the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency might reduce the required amount of ethanol in gasoline" and "But domestic ethanol production is flattening, rising just slightly in 2013 amid fears the auto-fuel market cannot absorb any more." Do you think this is a risk for MX, Methanex going forward. Thank you
Q: Hi Team,
I have a macro question for you. The Globe and Mail reported today that Canadian companies are expected to boost capital spending in 2014. What sectors and company specific equities would benefit from this increased spending? Also, corn prices are falling dramatically. Will this affect AG Growth International - AFN? Many thanks, as always.

Q: Hi, I have Hang Feng left over in my RSP account from the days when I relied on a financial advisor. I clearly should have sold a year ago. I bought at $9.97. I think I should sell and move on. Do you agree?
Q: Hello, what do you think about IFP.a at 11.68 ? Thanks. Helen
Q: When do you expect the uranium spot price to move up. With the HEU expiring and mining not able to fully supply the need, not to mention more reactors being built we have to have a move soon. I would like to pick up a basket of small cap explorers working the Athabasca Basin, what do you think of the Sky Harbour Partners. Or any suggestions, instead of going to Vegas thought I'd try this.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hi Everyone, hope you're having a great day! My question today is $20,000 to put to work. AYA or HCG. Aya,flying. Hcg doing well also. Love them both. Who has the edge in your opinion for the next six months. Thanks
Q: Hi
I am following your model portfolio in my RRSP and could not be happier. I make regular contributions to my account and I am wondering if there should be any strategy involved in adding to my current positions. My regular contributions are not large enough to be able to maintain the current balance across all stocks but I did not want to sit on cash unnecessarily.
Thanks and please keep up the great work.

Q: I am looking at PM (NYSE) as a stock to yield 4-5 %
dividend as a long term hold
The stock has pulled back
Would it be a reasonable addition to a portfolio for yield
with a small gain in the next 3-5 years ?
I realized that it is a SIN stock, thanks
