Q: Hello 5i Team
What is you opinion on Petrominerales? The numbers all look good but stock seems way oversold. Am I missing something?
Thank you
Andre

Q: High "5" for the 5i Team, Great service. Your last post for RSI.T (Rogers Sugar) was Oct. 23, 2012, which was positive. Could you please give me an update should there be any changes. I am aware of the low volume, but it is a slow & steady company with decent dividend.
My portfolio = long term / income.
Your reports are always greatly appreciated. Thank you

Q: Regarding your latest report on Aston Hill Financial, since the bulk of their business appears to be in mutual funds, is this not a "sunset" industry since so many investors are migrating to ETFs?

What are your opinions on investing in mutual fund companies directly without ever actually buying their funds? For example, a top holding of CDZ (Canadian Dividend Aristocrats ETF)is AGF since it pays such a high dividend, yet many analysts don't like AGF at all.

Q: Hello 5I,
I have a question on IBI Group (IBG). I am very much underwater with this stock but even with the dividend cut I am recieving a 4% income on my original investment. I held the stock all the way down as a major bank's brokerage house was way behind reality with its view of the stock. My question is do you have an opinion on this company going forward? I can treat the original investment like a 'bond' and wait out current price weakness; but only if the company has better times ahead. Obviously I am not listening to the Brokerage House anymore on this one.
Thx

Q: Hi, I have held ESN for a couple of years. Decent dividend but it doesn't stray too far above/below $2.15. I would like to continue to hold it and wonder what you think about it on a 1 to 2 year time frame. Thanks.

Q: Hi team; An advisor (before I knew about 5I) called very enthusiastically telling me about the IPO
for Eagle Energy Trust. Naively, I believed him and he even agreed to my suggestion of putting it into the TSFA. I paid $11. It now ranges between $6.30 and $7.00. It is paying the very high dividend. Recently I found Peter's article about IPO's. I will never buy another IPO. Do these advisors know what they are selling, or are they assessing the investor's lack of understanding just to make money for themselves or to sell what their company (Scotia McLeod in this case) is promoting?
Thanks so much for all the answers you provide.
Jean

Q: Peter,

I bought ANV recently at a price of 11.6. In the collapsing gold sector, is it too much risk considering management came out with the production numbers and they are reporting on May 6.

Q: Hi 5i: I'm retired and a buy and hold investor. Most of my portfolio is fine with the exception of Baytex. I bought 540 shares of BTE two years ago and since then it has declined 25%. The options I'm considering are:
1. Continue to hold BTE.
2. Sell BTE and put half the proceeds into Keyera (although it has run up a lot recently) and half into a non-energy, non-financial stock.
3. Sell BTE and put all the proceeds into non-energy, non-financial stocks.
(At present my energy stocks are PPL,IPL.UN,CPG,KEY,PKI and BTE. They make up 40% of my portfolio while financials make up 15%.
I'd appreciate your view on the above options and any suggestions re: non-energy, non-financial stocks.

Thanks for the service you provide to investors like me.

Q: TD Securites today issued a buy rating on Renegade (RPL) with a target price of $2.50. Insiders are not selling stock and INK Research show net buying of $169,250. I hold stock and think on a risk - reward basis the stock is worthwhile holding. Do you have an opinion? Thanks, Bill
