Q: ANS
The lumber prices has crashed in the last 3 months, back to last October level. Is it because of China stop buying?
I also heard from building materials people that some plywood are selling below OSB prices. Will ANS new plant make the OSB market more bearish with over-supplies?
Despite the lumber price crash, CFP WFT NBD ANS IFP.A WEF prices have held up quite well. What do you think of the home building industry prospects?
Q: Lake shore Gold (LSG) is a gold company that i am looking to build a position in. It's at or near its lows and i think it way undervalued. As it is a beaten down sector, i want to start accumulating this stock , however i would like your view on LSG? Thank you,
I would like to add some exposure to Silver at current silver prices as i now believe that the paper price is now trading below actual all in production costs. In addition, the ratio of SLW:Silver is almost 1:1 which means no leverage is being given to Silver Wheaton, SLW, do you think now is a good time to add a position?
Q: I have Teck Resources TCK.B in my main portfolio and it's down 40% for the year... Any comments on this stock? How safe is the dividend? Would you hold it or sell and cut losses? Thanks.
Q: Peter and associates,
I've been looking at TCN.TO as a way to access the US rental market. But the PE of 220 is very scary. Is this normal for this industry? Other suggestions?
Thanks, Cheryl
Q: Peter (IWO)
I am thinking about purchasing IWO but with the Canadian dollar dropping lately and with the exchange needed to convert to US dollars is it a good idea. Thanks
Q: Good Morning Peter and the Team. I am considering averaging down on either Spyglass SGL or Longvue LNV your thoughts or should I just forget this course of action and and take a position elseware any suggestions. Your thoughts would be appreciated
Q: The dividend stocks are getting hit hard including all the large cap blue chips. I think it's just a normal correction since they've had good run ups for a long time. Is the income dividend scenario over.
Q: Hello, I have a question regarding the escalating costs of gold producers. I am always hearing and reading that their costs keep going up without any specifics as to why. Is is it labour? Machinery ? Fuel? Land? Taxes? Supposedly there is little inflation out there but this explanation for resource company woes is constantly being stated in everything I read, watch, or hear. Any explanation or comment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your ongoing assistance.
Q: WiLAN looks to be in game changer mode with the recent re-licensing of Samsung. How substantial is this news with regards to current pending litigation with other players? Any thoughts as to how much value this could add to WIN numbers, both stock and earnings longer term?
Q: Clearly there is now some panic in the market, especially in gold. Having 'done nothing' in that sector, I am now substantially underwater in Goldcorp. Can you please provide me your estimate of Goldcorp's real market value based on current gold prices? At what gold price would you either consider averaging down or consider throwing in the towel on this position? Thank you.
