Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I am looking for companies that can "see over a recession", and has pricing power to counter-act inflation. An example: a company that helps another company (which is directly impacted by the recession). ATS comes to (my) mind.
What companies come to your mind?
Related: Continuing my own research, I read the Key Ratios for ATS on the 5i site.
PE 45, a bit high for my liking
But concensus EPS for next 4 Qs totals $6.56
At today's stock price, that's a PE of 11.5; that sounds terrific
ROE and Revenue Growth stats look good.
I'd like your commentary on this...."analysis"; moreover, what do you see in the Key Ratios that a retail investor should take note of (ATS, and/or generally).
Many thanks.

Q: WCN halted share buybacks, matched estimates on the quarter, 0.7% dividend and looking pricey at 33x. I've held it a long time and up nicely 60% in registered account . Would it be prudent to swap it out for GDI for better growth?
Thanks
Steve

Q: I own First Majestic Silver Corp. I didn't notice it listed in the drop down menu of companies above. AG is my worst preforming stock in my precious metals sector. Would you sell it for another stock that has better prospects (if so which one and a brief why) or would you still hold. It in a TFSA so there is no tax loss harvesting her. I already own AEM, KKR, BTO and SSRM.

Q: WHi Peter,

I read your comparison of Flutter and DraftKings on July 13.

Do the recent results from DraftKings shift the needle significantly for growth as well as profitability making it less risky and would give it the nod over Flutter for a balanced portfolio investment. Is DKNY a buy now?
Regards
Rajiv

Q: Considering the cyclicality and unpredictability of oil prices, government intervention, etc., what % if any of a portfolio would you suggest exposure to this sector? While I’ve been able to make $ here it’s always been a struggle to trade more than invest (other than pipelines) this siren which calls me to the rocks. Thanks.

Q: I just read an article on Uranium Royalty Corp it said….

Despite having "royalty" in its name, only one of Uranium Royalty's assets generates royalty revenue.
The main sources of income for the company are the sale of assets and the sale of its own shares, which leads to constant dilution of shareholders.
In our opinion, the value of the company's assets is 30% lower than the current market capitalization. The value of many royalties may be close to zero.

I own shares and I am waiting the next 10 years for peak uranium prices. please comment on my statement, the article and if is there a silver lining in this company such as the management team.

Thank you
