Q: Hello 5i team, I hold a small position in DGI in a registered account. I am down 69%, which has something to do with the position being small. Should I hold or sell. If I sell should I buy the debentures DGI.DB.A now trading around $66 or just move on? Thanks again for the great service. Frank

Q: Ernie's May 22 question on TDB621 Mortgage Fund had me investigate the numbers: 12 month return with risk 1.36/current yield 2.1/MER 1.82. A well kept secret at TD is their ISA-Investment Savings Account- TDB8150 currently paying 1.25% with no risk. There is no info online about it, you have to call and ask, but you can buy and sell it online min $1000, the only catch is it takes 1 to 2 days notice to buy and sell but it is guaranteed. I use it in cash and registered accounts. The US$ TDB 8152 pays 0.2%.

Q: Hi Peter

Argonaut Gold (AR) has had a recent move. Would you sell into the strength or wait for further recovery. I'm underwater somewhat but could wait if the longer term prospects look compelling.

Thanks

Q: Peter,

ANV was a gold stock you liked in the past. When compared to DGC they have lower costs per ounce of gold. They also issued shares at 10.75 which is much higher than what DGC is getting for their shares. Which would you prefer from both and why? Thanks

Q: WMB NYSE-what do think about me buying this one for my USD portfolio? I do not own any CDN equivalents as they look very expensive. They plan on > dividend by 20% ea over the next 3 years. They have bought two complimentary companies recently as well which should increase cash flow etc. However metrics looks awful: very high debt, high Payout ratio etc.

Q: Hi 5i
Would like your opinion of platinum and palladium, seems to be a supply shortage coming with problems in South Africa and the growing demand for catalytic converters and jewelry demand. How would you play this (miners or ETF's) the ETF's seem to be responding but the miners are doing nothing, which miners do you like and does Prophecy (NKL) going to be able to continue through to production or run out of cash? Thanks

Q: Hi Peter, I want to let you know how much I enjoy your service and website.
First, you gave me great advice on how to get out of my mutuals (which were steadily losing in spite of being an income fund), and your site has lots of info on building a portfolio.
I have had my portfolio for about 8 months and it is fluctuating between 9-13% increase, in spite of my Wi-lan and gold stocks - so I am very pleased.

Q: Hi Peter, Helicopter Ben Bernanke opened his mouth again today, and we got a sell off in the markets, including Gold. What was your take on what he had to say? I think he is just playing for time. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thank You
