Q: Dear 5i
I recently got stopped out on ENL.to and since then it has been going up . I m not so sure about using any more stop losses as they often don't work out . Are the fundamentals good enough for this stock to consider buying back in or are there other better options out there ?
Also should I consider buying more of GUD as it is up 12-13 percent since it was issued as part of the Paladin deal ?
Thanks
Bill C.

Q: Hi Team 5i. I have recently received my inheritance and am poised to purchase a TFSA (full allowable $31,000.00) I am self employed and in a very low tax bracket. I will also be purchasing more stocks to add to my existing portfolio but am awaiting breathlessly for your new Model Income PF to come end of March (?). Anyway, your opinion please of the following for my TFSA? BNS, CGX, CSH.UN, G, BEP.UN, MG, SLF, STN, SYZ, T, VET, and AVO. Perhaps some of these should/may flow over into my existing portfolio. Thank you ahead of time and I am telling friends and family about your wonderful company. I am learning much. E

Q: Hello Peter and Staff
I own shares in Transglobe. I understand Carasal has acquired Transglobe, the price being $9.32/share (info taken from Carasal site. What are the mechanics of this i.e. is there any action I should take, ?just wait, and is that indeed the figure I will receive per share. How are Transglobe shareholders to be treated, I guess is what I am asking. Thanks very much for all the information you provide us.

Q: Just let me say first your company is top notch, you guys are a breath of fresh air. You service has increased my confidence in my ability to do proper due diligence. Who do you think is a better company fortuna silver or Mandalay? I like Mandalay's new Challcollo property, but I'm concerned about the low grades.

Aswell do you have any views on silvercorp SVM?

Thanks guys

Q: Espial (T.ESP) turned the corner to profitability with its latest results in February and are now rubbing shoulders with, or supplying some of the majors in the IP video and Smart TV sectors.

Given the real and immediate threat to cable companies by outfits like Netflix, this area seem very promising for some competent players.

Given the Q4 results, have Espial's future prospects moved up meaningfully in your estimation?

Thanks!

Q: Hello Peter....I have a few questions from reading your right-on allocation for sectors on the TSX.(https://www.5iresearch.ca/questions/category/market-strategy?page=6#sthash.OCVTk6O3.dpuf) I take it this allocation is still 'good' in the current environment..and also built around a dividend/growth approach.

This allocation gives a weighting of 10% to info tech - hardware and 10% to info tech - internet and software. I'm sizing up my info tech positions between these two splits. For hardware, I assigned 2 positions, Avigilon and DavisHenderson, with a total weighting of 4.6%. I would appreciate your suggestions to round out info tech hardware....being with Canadian or US companies.

I earmarked Amaya, CSI. Constellation, Enghouse, Open Text to info tech - internet/software, summing up to 6.7%. For these, should I be adding to these positions or are there others, Canadian or US entities?

Also is there an article on Cdn Money Saver or other source about your thoughts on sector allocation/weighting?

Again, thanks.............Tom

Q: Good evening
May I have a clarification on the payout for WEQ? On 14 Nov you suggested it was 53 pc and on 13 Mar you suggested 79 pc
Donville on BNN this evening seemed to suggest it was approaching 100 pc?
I look forward to you reply.

Q: Hi Peter and 5I team,
Have you changed your opinion of the auto parts sector since the announcement of the South Korea deal? We know you like Linamar's fundamentals, as per your answer to the question on march 4th. Cannacord downgraded to hold and CIBC upgraded to outperform. We hold it in our TFSA with a great 48% gain. Is it time to take half off the table?
We value your opinion.

Q: Peter,

How do you interpret the latest results from Gamehost (GH) They seem to be blaming the weather for less than stellar sales, a pretty common theme these days. Justified or an excuse?

Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i team.
I am looking at either
VDY - 2.68% Yield - Management Fee - .30% MER - .34% or
XDV - 3.86% Yield - Management Fee - .50% MER - .55%.

XDV has the higher yield but it also has the higher fees. Does this make any difference. Take the higher yield & pay the higher fees or take the lower yield and lower fees. It looks like VDY outperformed XDV past year.

Q: Peter and Team
I am looking for a junior copper stock, good balance sheet at a undervalued price. I know copper is out of favor...this would be a long term contrarian investment. What are your thoughts about CAPSTONE MINING? Does it pass the test or would you suggest others? Thank you for your excellent service...I was delighted with your recent subscription discount and was glad to sign up for another two years!
