Q: Hi 5I team,
I'm wondering how much cash I should be holding for the current environment? And is there a minimum cash percentage I should keep all the time?
Currently, I have 25% and that's probably too high.
I consider all my/husband/kids investments as one basket (family RESP, my RSP, husbands RSP, spousal RSP, minor sons RDSP, my TFSA, husbands TFSA and joint margin account) as being able to take moderate risk because I have a DBP through work.

Q: Is there any downside to buying less than full blocks of shares? For example, is it unreasonable for an investor to purchase ten shares of Apple?
Thanks for all of your valued information!

I have a question regarding earnings, why is an increase in EPS more important than revenue/net income growth?

Q: Thanks for your excellent site.
I would like to invest 20% of my RIF into a Balanced (or other low risk alternative)ETF or MF to replace my Bond investment and improve the return of my portfolio.

Q: 5i Team,

I know you are not a fan of Bombardier. Too big a float, historical screw ups etc, but I was still surprised to read your 'let it go' comment to the previous question below, especially considering that it seems to have broken out of the $5 range funk, has the C-Series flying, gaining traction in China, and in general, seems to have a lot of positive momentum - I know your team loves momentum!

I have a 5% holding in BBD.B (which is part of a 15% industrial sector weighting in my portfolio, others are MDA, Magna and Caterpiller). Should I 'let BBD.B go' and rotate into something else? It's ok to be blunt and to the point with me, am I dumb to hold BBD over other 5i names like Stantec, Boyd, Macro? I'm also underwieght in health care and am looking at Paladin and Athena. You guys have more than earned my trust, what would you do with that 5% BBD holding? I want growth, and lots of it!!!! :)

Q: Given the ever-increasing growth in oil and gas production in North America and the relatively tepid demand for these resources, I'm inclined to think that the price of a barrel of oil or BCF of natural gas will decline in the coming years. Am I right in this assumption and would it negatively impact service companies, in particular Shawcor?

Q: Hi team, really appreciate the advice. Recently I have altered my portfolio quite a bit to focus on growth stocks. Currently I hold AAPL, STN.TO, CSU.TO, CMG.TO, HCG.TO and VG.TO. Do you think I am diversified enough? If not, what are some sectors and specific companies that I should look into moving out of / into?
