Q: Hi,

I need your advice on this. At the current price of 8.72 per MNW share, AAH should be worth (6.52/0.957 cash + 3.6 MNW Shares * 8.72) $38.2 but it is trading at $37.05. Also if I hold 200 MNW shares for total cost of $1,744 and the price goes to $12 I will have $2400 or 37.6% gain but If I hold AAH instead, for the same $1,744 I get 47.07 shares which at the $12 MNW price would be worth $2,353 or a gain of 34.9%. Based on this after a certain price of MNW shares, it is better to hold MNW instead of AAH. Do you agree?

Q: With Sears SCC just having announced a special $5 dividend, would it not be a good time to buy at least for the short term? Any pitfalls that I'm not aware of?
Thanks

Q: Market strategy
With big name investors like Carl Icahn predicting big drops in the market, I am getting a bit nervous.
What is your perspective on the current state of the markets? Would you be inclined to go to a higher cash position. If yes, would you sell specific sectors or more generally across the board.
My investor profile is more income oriented vs needing to selll stocks.

Thanks.

Q: Hello Peter,
So glad we joined 5i, great information.
Could you comment on Life & Banc Split Corp (LBS).
The 12% yield is it a too good to be true story?
Thanks,
Ted

Q: Hi Reter and team: Within the last week two analysts on BNN gave dramatically different assessments of Fortis. One figured it was a buy at current prices and that being a regulated utility its revenue would be allowed to rise with interest rates. The other thought it would never grow again and deserved to be shorted (shorting it was his third "pick"). Can you shed some light on this disagreement?

Q: Carfinco seems to be down again on news of EPS restatement. How do you assess the EPS restatement? Forgivable error or a sign of sloppy accounting (can't count number of shares ...)?

Does this present a buying opportunity (I have a small/partial position); or should I look for selling opportunities?

Q: MNW/AAH
Are you recommending buying AAH vs MNW (Nov 17) because you have done the research on it and not on MNW? If you have other reasons could you please elaborate? I interpret the acquisition as accretive to MNW. Thank you, Gayle

Q: I assume there was nothing in google search data before the last crash that could be used to predict the next one? Perhaps something less obvious than increasing paranoia or volatility?
