Q: Please provide your expert opinion of the effect on the stock price basing on the following actions.Will use XSR as an example. Today it closed @ $8.01(up.04) on unusually very high volume of 1.33m shares.Daily chart shows 19.3k up volume vs 1.3m down vol.(including sale of 1.248m shares @ $7.97) Thanks a lot

Q: Hello 5i,

I was wondering what percentage of Sylogist's (SYZ) revenue is relatively fixed or recurring in nature? I noticed they haven't announced any new contracts recently. Would the contracts they announced last year still largely be in effect this year?

Their 2013 Q4 numbers were a step change above that for 2012 with benefits being realized from the Epic Data aquisition. Do you expect this to continue and what would you expect in the way of EPS for Q1?

Q: re FCU Fission reports 152M Shares outstanding Sept 2013, and 392M including 60M options and Warrants as of Apr 4, 2014. Would this cause the current drop in value to $1.32 over the past few weeks. Is this a good point to add to current holdings.

Can you provide me your opinion on Chesswood (CHW). I bought it at 15.25 and it is down since then. It also pretty volatile. Is it a good company to hold in a portfolio. What kind of risks do you see in this company going forward. Also with its small market cap could it be a potential takeover candidate for someone interested in leasing business. Thanks

Q: Some ETF questions:

I am starting to add more US exposure to my portfolio. I would like to buy VTI. I already own IWO, but I'm thinking I won't need it anymore as VTI covers small, medium and large cap. Does this make sense? I feel like less funds are easier to manage.

Also want to buy a vanguard international (non North America) ETF in Canadian dollars. Should I pay the higher fee for the hedged version?

Also want to add Vanguard's Canadian ETF to my portfolio. I own your equity portfolio, and just want to use the ETF to add some diversification. What percentage do you think would work? Would 75% of my Canadian equity position in your portfolio and 25% in a Canadian ETF work?

Q: Hi 5i team,

I am thinking of adding MSI to my portfolio (holding it in a TFSA). I was just wondering if this stock offers diversification as compared to holding financials (i.e banks and insurance companies)? I know that some of their biggest clientele are banks and insurance companies. If the financial stocks fall, would this company suffer as well? It has had a pretty decent run lately, maybe patience for a lower entry point would be in my best interest.

Q: Pl advise why Canadian energy sector is on fire and for how long the momentum will continue? what are sub sectors of the energy sector and which are most hot? Pl advise various ways of playing in this sector for short and medium term. Is it too late to enter?
