Q: I have owned Talisman [TLM] for a couple of years and am under water. At this point in 2014 I have capital gains which would easily offset the loss resulting from selling TLM. I'm looking for a suggestion on the way forward given this comment on BNN.
"We believe this provides an opportunity for astute, patient investors as the stock sells at a large discount to comparable companies and we do not expect that to stay that way forever. Investors also get to collect a 2.5% yield."
I don't need the cash so could sit tight and wait until later in the year. My energy exposure is about 7%. As a retired person I look more for yield than growth but do hold a number of your recommendations such as Amaya.
Appreciate your thoughts.
