Q: Peter, do you think ROX on the Canadian is 100% speculation or may there be a little substance to the story. Thanks

Q: Premium Brand Holdings (PBH-T) released earnings this morning, and I am interested in your thoughts. My read is nothing surprising, but holding its position and still positioning for the future. I would not buy more, but rather should hold what I've got if it suits my portfolio. Am I reading it right? - Cheers.

Question: No question, just a comment. Thank-you so much for providing this service. This Q & A forum has taught me so much as an individual investor."
I could not have said this better! Thank you so much for everything.

Q: Good Afternoon Peter and Team,
Great call on PLB !!! Just wish I had a truckload of it rather than a few hundred shares. I will patiently await your updated recommendation.
My question is with regard to gold in constant backwardation i.e. the Gold Spot price stubbornly stays above the Comex Futures Price by a small amount. My understanding is that this is quite unusual. Of couse John Embry and Eric Sprott believe that this indicates that the price of gold will soon rise to infinity and beyond.
What is your take of this rather peculiar situation ???
Thank you. DL

Q: Indigo Books (IDG) took a bad hit today on the basis of the earnings report. I know it is not your favorite stock, but am wondering if you have any indications of what to expect going forward from here.
Many Thanks.

Q: The last time you commented on CIX was June 9th. Could you provide an update? Thanks!
Q: I see you like IM (imris) and PM (prism medical)a lot.
If you had a choice which one would you choose?
The are both in the same sector.
Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

Q: Do you think (BDI) Black Diamond's results were OK? And do you consider Badger (BAD) and Macro (MCR) to be classified in the same sector? Could BDI's results tell us anything about Macro's earnings going forward. Can't decide if these are oil service sector companies or not. Thank you. Very grateful member.
Q: Thank you for providing this service. Could you provide 2 or 3 small cap opportunities currently not covered in your portfolio. Is RIFCO still worth looking at? Regards.
Q: Hi
Can you tell me if there is any news on BNC that would make it a buy at this point?

Q: Could you please comment on recent news from ACQ. What is consensus EPS estimate for tomorrow? Would it make sense to add before Q results?
Also - what is consensus EPS for Stella-Jones (SJ.TO) and McCoy (MCB.TO), both report later this week?
Thank you.

Q: Could I gave your thoughts on HNZ.A pursuant to yesterday's share price drop as a result of their announcement on the Afghanistan contract. Would you consider this a buying opportunity or should I wait for the 3rd quarter results on Nov 12th. Thanks.

Q: You (and your team) are doing an excellent job. It is definitely evident by your results and the accolades from many of your members. However, I must believe that like many of us, you've had your bad days as well. Are there any lessons learnt that can be shared with all of us. Thank you.
Q: Morning! (unless you are working later than you should!)
Do you have an opinion regarding the potential purchase of General Chemical Corp by Chemtrade (CHE.UN). In particular I would want to know if this is positive for Chemtrade, or should I consider trimming?

Q: We have a 4% weighting in HNZ.A. While they seem a well managed company there seems to be a problem in the industry. They took a hit today on loss of defense contracts. I'm thinking of selling to buy CSX. I want to increase our US exposure but still be in the transportation sector. A couple of days ago you wrote an article about the value of dividend paying companies and HNZ.A does pay a higher dividend than CSX. CSX I suppose should have more stable earnings. Any suggestions on what to do?
A second question...does it make sense to sell RBC & PWF to buy AEM? We are overweight in financials with no exposure to gold or material stocks except LIF. The banks and insurance companies seem to be on a roll so I hesitate to sell them. I know you recommend Goldcorp but I like AEM because of their dividend, increasing gold production per share and I think they recently beat analyst's estimates. Our weighting in RBC & PWF is 4%
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Q: Good afternoon,
I am sitting on a 150% gain in HNZ Group (HNZ.A), but the current yield does not seem to adequately reflect the risk in the company and the share price has not been performing well of late. Would you suggest selling the position and, if so, could you recommend an alternative?
Thank you.

Q: Good morning 5i team, just wondering if I could have your opinion/comments on the Q3 earnings just released by CDI (Canelson) and HCG (Home Capital Group). Thanks.
Q: Thank you for the recommendation of Avigilon. We will continue to hold.
We are setting up an RESP for our grandson [an infant], and would like to invest the donation. Which holdings in 5I would be appropriate ? What do you think of RESPs? There seems to be a lot of rules . thanks
