Q: I purchased 3000 URB @$1.82 on the recommendation of another of analyst. It hasnt done anything. Do you have any info. on it. My thinking is to sell and start deploying the capital into one of your portfolio stocks. Also being a new member which stock would you recommend to begin with. I've done really well with this analyst so far but am going to try to diversify into more stable portfolio.

Q: Peter and Team,

I bought a 5% position in Stantec a couple months ago around $48 and sold a covered call on it with a strike of $50 for the next month. I got called away and proceded to sell a Put at $52 for the next month. Stantec then reported their incredible quarter and the stock is now $68.50 or so. With the big run up, does this stock still make sense to buy new or should we be waiting for it to come back down a bit?

Q: Peter and team, what is a good strategy for an RESP ? Child is 12. Account is $30k in a mix of individual stocks. Due to size of account and institution, trades are $25 per. Is there a few ETFs that make sense to replace individual equities, or would you mirror your model portfolio ? My apologies if this question has been answered before. I looked but could not find it. Thank you.

Q: Further to my question regarding jfs.un, I looked through the last financial statements and read through the fees, there seems to be a 2% annual fee along with a 1.5% fee and a 20% nav appreciation fee. Can you break these down as to what the yearly fee in relation to a mer is and would this be comparable to other closed end funds. Thanks

Q: Hi Peter & Co.,
I've been waiting for the right time to take a position in Bonterra Energy. They announced yesterday that CRA may be reassessing their taxes for 2008-2012, which could result in a $25M tax bill. Mgmt advises this will not affect their business plan or payment of dividends. What do you think? Should I be concerned about the impact of a reassessment, or does this present a good entry point? (stock is down today)
Many thanks!

Q: I understand Amazon isn't your area of expertise, but can you give us your opinion of Amazon. If you look at a 10 year graph, one would think that steep curve upward signals it's in bubble territory.

For a company that still hasn't made any profits, are you optimistic about Amazon living up to its share price?
