Q: Linamar (LNR) seems to be taking a bit of a hit the past week and is off 8% from its high compared to 1% for Magna (MG). Coming up to earnings reports, are you hearing anything that might be of concern?

Q: Hi Peter & Ryan,
I hold 100 shares of Keyera in my TFSA and it is up substantially. I am curious as to whether you think it might have the potential for a stock split should the share price continue to climb and what impact that would have on the dividend (since I bought it for the dividend in the first place). I know the Canadian banks are not adverse to stock splits and we also saw it with Badger. Not too sure how Keyera would view such a move. Any thoughts?
Thanks as always!!
Cheers,
Mike

Q: Hi team, I am looking at buying 1000 shares XSQ for my kids RESP( this would represent a 15% weighting). I will need the money in about 7-8 years. I have several individual Canadian corporate bonds already in this account dated between 2016 and 2021 (30%), as well are large positions in FIE and XTR (40%). I can't decided whether to add this as a new position or just add to XTR for the added returns to help offset any inflation. Thanks for your time.
Q: Disappointing article on M/F’s. Top performing funds for 3 yrs that barely missed the top quartile in the other year would be eliminated by this filter. (Aside: I’m not a fan of MFs but don’t like bad analysis.)
Q: Dear Gentlemen,

Q: Brilliant Peter and his Wonder Team
I am not a Gold Bug by any means. However because of global financial fundamentals I can see gold returning to test $2000.00 per ounce within the next 3 years. In any event I do want insurance and do not want to participate in the 'herd panic' if things become unstable as we enter unchartered waters...when they have to stop printing money and inflation begins to return.
I do believe Gold will comeback into favor. If Gold is near a bottom I think it is a good time to buy because the risk is low and the reward high. What I mean is...even if Gold rises slightly in three years I will not loose money and probably make a little. Concurrently if our fears materialize Gold may save me. My question...What is the highest % of Gold should I have in my portfolio and still maintain diversification. Please keep in mind my strategic thinking. Also how many gold stocks should I have? If you think I am misguided do not hesitate to be direct ...I always value your insights and recommendations!

Q: Hi Team:
I can't remember the exact date but I do recall your research giving Carfinco (CFN) a "B" rating. The stock has not been performing well lately. Have you changed your
rating & or opinion on the Co.
Thanks: Jerry

Q: OTC
Open Text vs Constellation, they both seem to be in the same area (technology) yet OTC is trading in the 30 plus EPS while CSU is trading in the mid 50's EPS range, is this a trading opportunity? thanks, Jean

Q: September is near and the market is near all time high. I would like to hear your ideas regarding protection for Canadian stock portfolio.
What do you think of ETF HUT. Would you recommend using it and if so, what amount one needs to buy for protection of $100K portfolio. Thanks Peter.

Q: Manulife and Sun Life. Are these good holds seeing that so many weather and other problems are occurring? Thanks James
Q: GUD versus VRX. Which one would you invest in today if given the choice and why? Or is there another health care stock you prefer? I already hold CXR. Thanks as always.
Q: I have recently added Hudbay to my portfolio and am looking for another mining stock to add. What would you suggest?
Q: I am putting 31 000 into my wife's TFSA investment account. Perhaps 5 different stocks from the Model Portfolio which will result in growth and also garner dividends. Which 5 would you recommend and should it be all done at once or over a period of time? Thanks
Q: Recently you replied to a question about tourmaline that you would hold it in a tfsa account or, taxable account because of favourable tax treatment on capital gains. I thought an rrsp would be a better place if you didn't have roon in tfsa. In an rrsp you won't pay any taxes at all. Obviously, you know more than me in this area and so i am wondering if i have overlooked something
Thanks as always for the great , informative and interesting service

Q: Have you ever thought of putting your model portfolios in an ETF?
This would make it alot easier for subscribers to buy into your portfolios as opposed to buying the individual stocks.

Q: re: TD, MFC Interest rates plus Amazon & VISA missing forcast
the market in general after the Amazon/VISA reports became public have fallen yet both financials TD & MFC saw nice gains.
What is your take on this and does this in any way indicate what might happen with interest rates?
Thanks for all you do
