Q: hello 5i:
two questions, if I may:
#1: is a report on SJ still "in the works", and if so when do you expect to release. I have a small position and would like to add to it, but am waiting for the report.
#2. its been about 3 months since the last question on Canadian Western Bank. Can you update this, and give me a "back of the napkin" rating on it.
One comment: congrats on the Ryan Modesto acquisition lol. 5i not only picks good management of companies, they obviously try to lure the strongest to their team. PH and N is (or was, before the acquisition by RBC) a tremendously respected company that has delivered very good, stable, results to investors for many years. Ryan's experience and acumen should do nothing but add value to 5i. Good job Peter; in hockey talk, you got a first liner!

Q: Hello Peter and co.,
In the broad energy infra sector and in the context of expected LNG related activity, I bought a partial position in Enterprise Group; is there a point also buying into Petrowest or Macro Enterprises?
Thanks,
Tony

Q: Do you have suggestions for safe places to park excess cash sitting in a discount brokerage RRSP, perhaps for a few months, while waiting to invest it in the market? I've used HFR (Horizons Floating Rate Bond ETF) previously.

Q: Hi Peter and Team, boy-oh-boy, a lot of Q&A's on Surge, SGY, lately and I'll yet add another of my own again, sorry but I have to ask, at current price and yield (5.70/9.5%), and considering what has already been stated by the team, is this a really good (table pounding) buy situation? Good solid volume as well, are we missing something here considering they just raised cash recently at 6.20? Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter & 5i: Just a comment. I haven’t asked a question for a couple of months but I have continued to read the 5i members’ Q&A daily. I have gained lots of information from others’ questions and your responses. It may seem frustrating sometimes when someone asks a question you really can’t answer or includes a lot of extraneous information that won’t be relevant to your response. I very much appreciate your approach to answering these questions anyway; to try to give people something for their effort, at times despite the way they have asked their question. You are usually able to offer them something useful and sometimes that is useful for me too. If somebody asks for too much or provides too much info, it may just be that they don’t yet understand the turf well enough to ask for exactly what you can give them. But they still need some help and that is the point of their membership; to gain some assistance in an area they have not mastered and to be educated a little bit along the way. Thank you for your patience.

Q: re: BBRY... Just read an article as I have been watching BBRY and Mr. Chen' actions very closely. Things appear to be starting to change and BlackBerry announced some very prestigious customers upgrading to BES10 and to BB10 devices. BlackBerry also announced that BBM will be made available for Nokia's (NOK) X platform and Microsoft's (MSFT) WP8. So now BBM will be available for every smartphone platform. And Ford (F) has officially decided to drop Microsoft and use BlackBerry's QXN solution, to power its Sync mobile-phone multimedia software beginning in 2016. Now that BBRY bankruptcy seems to be in the past and with new management starting to get rolling, the writer posted a target of $18 - $20 for this year.

Can you comment on this and what you think BlackBerry' future looks like in your opinion?

Thank 5i

Q: I'd like your opinion on Gear Energy, a newer company trading since November. I see that Don Gray (the co-founder of Peyto) is executive chairman on the board which caught my attention. Thank you.
