Q: Still a new-ish member, wondering about the March 1 Research Report.
Am I correct in thinking that this extensive list does not represent necessarily your favorite stocks, just ones you have decided to do research on? I assume our favorite stocks are in the Model Portfolio instead. I am just wondering what criteria you use for a stock to make the research list, since there are many stocks you like in the Questions area which are not on the Research list.
Thanks so much, Peter, Ryan and team!

Q: Would you be a buyer of RRX at current levels? There's really no "good" time to buy this stock, as the company continues to outperform anyone's expectations. I'd like to get your opinion as to whether i just buy the stock at it's 52 week high, or wait for a pull back. My experience with this name is that it just keeps climbing higher and higher

Q: Hello Peter....Since recently signing up for 5iR, I'm doing more homework as like trying to guess your response to questions. About the comparison of PPL and ENB, I looked on the free Bloomberg site for info and it shows ttP/E as 34.5 and 85.0, respectively and then forward P/E as 32.0 and 23.9. And you mentioned ENB is cheaper. When doing a comparative analysis, what are the reason for using the forward P/E rather than the trailing ratio? Also what accounts for the significant difference between trailing and forward P/Es? Exit question: For these two companies, Bloomberg doesn't show PEG ratios. (?) What "weight" do you place/give to this ratio for analysis purposes?.........Enjoy a deep freeze week-end....Tom M

Q: What is your current view of Algonquin (AQN)? I am retired and have set up my well-diversified portfolio for dividend income. Based on my purchase price of $5.60 I am receiving a dividend of 6.1%. What do you expect for both capital gain and dividend growth over the next year or tow?
Q: Peter,
FTP (Fortress Paper) is trading at 10 year low and at a fraction of its book value. Is this company going to survive? What do you think of the management? Is this a good entry point to go long?
Thanks.

Q: You have advised to notice the start of dividend payment as a significant event in corporate development and investment worthiness.
Could you please list companies that have started dividend payments over the past 2 years plus any comments you have on them. Is there a site to find this sort of information? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and Team I was surprized to see SDI drop Over 50% in one day! Should I hold, or sell? Also what do you suggest holding in the bond portion of a portfolio, since bond returns are pathetic and interest rates must rise? Tks- JP
