Q: Good Morning Peter and Team,
I have been taking a look at Macro Enterprises (MCR- TSXV). Upon reading the most recent Ink Insider report I noticed that one of the two founders (Mark Dodge) has recently been selling down his stake in the company. However the other founder (Frank Miles) still owns about 30% of the outstanding shares. Being a value oriented investor (However I am slowly coming around to your philosophy) I believe that MCR looks cheap with compelling long term prospects to boot. The recent insider selling may explain some of the recent weakness in the share price. What is your opinion of this company ??? Thank you for your help. DL

Q: Hi Peter,

Hoping you and team can provide some advice on when to sell a stock. I consistently struggle with when to hold and when to sell so have always erred on the side of holding. This has generally worked out for me with the exception of cyclical stocks. I have held Magna for a very long time and it is creeping over 8% of my portfolio and wondering if this is the time to trim a bit. However, the momentum in the stock is quite strong and so I continue to dither and sit on the sidelines. Your advice would be helpful.

Q: I've been reading quite a few articles recently about the high level of margin debt in the US. What is your opinion on the correlation between margin debt levels and major stock market corrections. Apparently margin debt levels are very close to where they were just before both the 2000 and 2007 corrections.
Thanks for the great service.

Q: Westshore Terminals, WTE, annouced a few months ago that they capped their dividend to complete some capital projects over the next few years. I am good with this being a shareholder ensuring the future and hopefully future dividend increases. No one expected much growth in the share but here it is up $8-9.00/ share since this announcement. This has grown into about a 7$ weighting in my portfolio.

Any idea what has driven this rise in share price and should I take a little off the table to get back to 5% weighting?

Thanks in advance and thanks to you, your staff and other members for information and answering questions.?

Q: Good Morning Peter, I have an 11% weighting in the oil and gas sector divided between five companies. This includes both ECA and TLM. I am significantly underwater on both of these stocks. Is it time to take my loss and replace with one of Vermillion or Tourmaline or some other company? I also hold FRC. Would you hold or replace that one as well?

Q: Hello Peter :
I'm curious to know what you think about this:

BlackBerry (BB.TO) recently ousted Thorsten Heins as CEO in November and now has John Chen at the helm of the company. Since that time the stock has been steadily increasing with slow and steady short term growth. Chen has announced a new BlackBerry (Q20) taking the company back to its core business and what it does best...the QWERTY keyboard, which will be released the second half of 2014. Do you see this stock as a short-term hold for a quick profit turnaround until the launch of the Q20 and before first sales numbers are released or would you buy in now and hold for a longer period of time?
Thank You.........Paul
