Q: Hi,

I am not sure if you got my question on NDN on Friday. If you did please ignore this. My question is about their recent earnings and what do you think is the possible outcome of their strategic review. Why is the stock under pressure?

Q: My husband and I have self directed RRSP's with 10 years to go until the RRSP's become self directed RRIF's. The annual minimum RRIF withdrawal starts at 5% at age 70, and increases each year. At age 85 the withdrawal rate is 10.33%. My question is - would the investments in the RRSP's be best as an income portfolio to preserve capital but also allow for the required cash withdrawals? Or do you think a portfolio combination of growth and income is more advantageous given the 10 year time frame? Thanks!

Q: Hi There

I believe I read a comment of yours regarding an oilfield services company, but can't find it. Is there one you would suggest for income in a well diversified retiree portfolio? TKS

Q: Hi - my university attending son has been telling me about the legalization of marijuana, particularly in the US, and asks me how to invest in it. I read in the G&M today that even the Tories are softening on the issue. Any thoughts on how to invest in this sector?

Q: A fear and greed scenario: VIPS, the Chinese on line retailer, had a huge pop last week on some VG numbers. On paper I have a best ever fast profit. But now it is sliding down fairly quickly. Would you expect it to stabilize and start to move back up or keep dropping.
So, buy, hold or sell now and what criteria would you use in making that decision?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Q: Thanks for the 4 rate-reset preferreds in response to David's inquiry. They look perfect for my needs. One question please. Is the rate reset the only option available to the issuers at reset day, or are there other options.

Q: Hi, I was fortunate to hold some gold stocks over the last few months. I'm not sure if I should lighten up now - the thesis being that they are no longer substantially undervalued and most of the gains have now been made.

The stocks are TMM, BTO, MND, AR, Teranga (Also have SLW and G and CEF.A but consider these long term holdings). These are up about 30% - 150% this year. Overall weighting of all holdings about 15% of total portfolio. What do you think?

Q: I have a question on Neptune Technologies (NTB). The recent financing knocked the share price down a bit. Is this a good entry point and will the company have to raise funds again in the near term, say next year? Thank you.

Q: I accumulated a lot of Fission (FCU) at .9 to $1. Of course I am pleased to see it going higher on both drill results and uranium market turning a bit more positive. Many times before I have had such returns only to watch them fall back to where I bought them or lower.
Can you recommend a good strategy to systematically take some profit and still remain involved in the upside.
I like your new policy on Questions ( I've been wondering how you would handle the Issue) It should influence members to better check out the symbol search for questions, and do more research on their own. Even though I value your opinion more than anyone else's I still do my own research before making a move.
