Q: RBC lowered target price to 153. Anything to be concerned about? I looked up report section and last time TFII was formally reported upon was April 2022. Can you explain why 5i feels TFII is a top pick? What are the main strengths and weaknesses going forward? What price do you see down the road and why?
A suggestion: company reports should be updated every 12 months. In TFII's case, it's 17 months and counting. I realize there are lots of questions about TFII but a report formally brings it all together. I'm sure your customers would appreciate this.

Q: Dear Peter et al:

This is a big picture, non-personal question of a "fictional" account of a million dollars :)

From your answers to various subscribers over a period of years, I know that you have always said the portfolio construction is based on individual's personal needs and wants. Agreed!
Hence this general question!

If one wants to have 20% of the portfolio in NON correlated, steady as she goes kind of stocks or bonds, what should one buy?
I see that even though the stocks and bonds are not correlated, in 2022 they both were severely punished. Gold hasn't gone anywhere. Energy was down now but has gone waay up!

Even the ardent fans of Technical Analysis seem to be "confused" about non performance of their Intermarket Analysis approach. (John Murphy)

So, the question is how can one construct a portfolio with non correlated assets and come up with an asymmetrical barbell portfolio (Nessim Taleb?)
I have been looking at Utilities, Financials, Emerging markets, bonds, Gold........nothing seem to be appealing!

Any words of wisdom?
Many thanks in advance.

Mano.

Q: Blake on Sept 25 talked about adding more shares to some of the falling positions he had and you had recommended two of them would be GO EASY and SunLife. GO EASY I have had since I bought it at $127.00 so I added more GO EASY on your advice to Blake. It underperforms most of my Canadian stocks and so would I be better when it gets up to my most recent purchase of $110.70 to buy ATS or another one of your Canadian recommendations that is out performing GO EASY?

I am mid 70's senior and I found it complicated to get on Chris' webinar. I did not have a GO EASY account and other things required so I did not see it. Thank you

Q: Hi Team,
The market has done a good job at punishing growth investors as of late (again). If one is looking for opportunity to add today which of the following is the best buy today (long term horizon). ATS, LMN, SHOP, BN? Perhaps rank the order you would purchase them. Thanks

Shane.

Q: I have been thinking of replacing PKI with EIF in my RRIF over the last few months. During this time PKI has been steadily rising ( in a weak/ declining market) while EIF has been following the market down. The EIF decline has been quite substantial from what I see is a strong company with good prospects. Is there something wrong with the company that us retail investors don’t know about. ? Is there a rerating of the company going on ? Several analysts have been more positive on PKI. Should one expect strength in this stock to continue. ? Trying to figure out when ( and if ) I should make the switch. My gut says to wait this out. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks. Derek.

Q: Most of the focus on AI to this point has been on providers. What is your thinking about its widespread implementation? Should we expect significant dislocation of intellectual human resources for example? What sectors, companies will be less obvious beneficiaries? Are there published discussions of the potential transformations we should expect?
Thanks, Hugh

Q: Hello Peter,
From an earlier question on VFV in terms of foreign taxes, it looks like there is a double taxation as VFV invests in US ETF not directly in US stocks.. I would think i am better off with xsp excepts the etf hedges. Would i better off just investing in SPY or is there another ETF that is like VFV but invests directly in US stocks.. Thanks very much
