Q: Re Yossi's question on CUS. An article on CUS was published by Seeking Alpha today. The title of the article was "How to Profit from Keystone XL's Indefinite Delay".
Q: CWX CanWel Building Materials I am surprised that they are doing a share consolidation. Do you think this will have what I assume is a desired rise in the share price or is it likely to depress the price, liquidity and dividend? They expect 2014/15 to be better years but I notice with the last 2 acquisitions they use words like complementary vs accretive. I own this and would like your opinion as to whether to continue to hold through this consolidation or sell now. Thank you
Q: Hello, I'm getting a little nervous about my Carfinco (CFN). Performing very badly over

Q: Hi Team Davis & Henderson
I purchased DH around $16.00 so I have a great capital gain. Since you have moved this to the Income Portfolio I assume you feel the rapid expansion is over and I should move on if I am looking for capital gains. Thanks Jim

Q: Good Morning Peter :
I see FAP Aberdeen Asia-Pacific Inc is shown at TD Waterhouse with EPS of -$0.34 in one place and at +$0.81 in another place. Earnings always seemed sufficient to cover the $0.60 dividend. What EPS do you see? I am currently down 9.9% on this one and am sorry I bought it as I didn't really understand it properly. I would like to sell it but hate to take a loss.
Do the prospects look reasonable for it to get back to the $6.25 per share range [currently $5.65] or should I just move on. The 10% yield is very tempting but I believe now too risky.
I would appreciate your suggestions on what to replace it with for a long term holding, not necessarily in the same sector. I am looking at stable stocks yielding in the 5-6% range such as : BDT, ENF, WCP, COS, CHE.UN, CTY, BCE, and always appreciate your thoughts and any other suggestions
Thank You....... Paul

Q: WIN. The Globe & Mail reports that the us supreme court may restrict the application of patent protection in the Alice corp case which the paper suggests could affect the worth of Blackberry. Could this be the final nail for Wi lan? Are Wilan's patents mostly in the electronics industry?
Q: Looking for a good way to play the Nickel market. Been following it of late and I think the fundamentals look promising. RNX - royal nickel, has so much risk being at such an early stage. S - Sherritt just seems like a poorly run company. Are there any "pure" or near "pure-play" producers in the space?
Thanks,
Rob
Thanks,
Rob
Q: Would appreciate your take on three non drill bit energy services companies: Pason PSI (instrumentation), Secure SES (waste treatment) and Canadian Energy CEU (drilling chemicals) relative to Black Diamond BDI. Technically all four are all above their 50 day MA and all have excellent gains in the last 12 month period ranging from approximately 65-155%. What is your evaluation based on their financial health, growth prospects, etc?
Q: I would like some exposure to the expected long term growth trend in agriculture. I have small positions in POT and AGU. I intend to add to both. Do you think that is prudent at these levels? AFN seems to be a specialized business, I would like to get "A" level exposure to the machinery and real estate portion of the trend. I am not finding many options in the Canadian market. Please point me in the right direction.
Your service is fantastic, and worth every penny.

Q: SWC.U has been showing some strength recently. Is there anything to the company? Would you mind also commenting on platinum/palladium as an industrial metal. Is demand basically coming from the automobile sector?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hello Peter and team
In your new Growth Portfolio, your weighting appears to me to be 25% Technology, only 5% Energy and 15% Basic Materials. I am weighted 11.5% Technology with CSU,ESL, MDA, and SYZ. 16% energy with VET, PEY,and BDI. VET and BAD are over just over 8% because of gains and split. My Basic Materials weight is 9% with G and RUS. Should I be reducing Energy to increase Basic Materials and Technology? My other weightings seem in line.
Would appreciate your comments. Regards Kathy

Q: I followed Danielle Park's blog " Juggling Dynamite " for the last 5 years. On April 17 she posted: " so Q 1 earnings and revenue numbers are ugly with 1/3 of S&P companies missing earnings targets and 51% have so far missed their sales forecasts."
Are you familiar with Danielle? For the past 2 years I have been 50% in cash in my investment account waiting for the big correction that she professes must come to end the cyclical bear market. I regret missing the gains of the past 2 years, but at the same time I am fearful of the pending correction < if I only knew when >. What does one do in this situation? Please comment, thank you.

Q: Hello Team
After spending quite some time looking at all the different fundamentals of these 3 telecom companies maybe you can shed some light on which one you feel I would do best in. Telus,Chunghwa CHT, or Nippon NTT.Being a contrarian at heart I always lean toward the deepest value which I feel would be Nippon telecom,However there ttm ROA is much lower than the other 2 However forward P/E, Price/sales,and P/CF values are much lower. The other metric which I find interesting is the Net income growth AVG over the last 3 years which Telus has performed much better over.
Thanks Gord
