Q: Hi Peter & 5IResearch Team,

Regarding your up-coming Sears National Kid's Cancer Ride/Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation. I was curious as to whether they accept CDN equity shares "IN KIND" as donations, and thus Contacted them directly and found out that they do!
I'm suprised that being in the business as you are, you don't promote the advantages of donating stock (that has appreciated)
directly (without selling the stock) to a "CHARITY" such as this!
The following are the coordinates/particulars to facilitate this:

I would respectfully suggest you provide/promote a Link on your site to facilitate the ease and advantages of donating in this way.
(P.S.) When I have done this in the past my Brofer has waived the commission on the sale/transfer of sais stock.

Q: Good morning. BDT Bird announced earnings on Friday with a 66% drop in earnings per share despite a growing backlog. This was supposed to be a better quarter after completing a boondoggle project. Is it time to give up on Bird?

Q: Good Morning folks,
As part of a query today you stated the following, "CPD could be replaced with a rock-solid floating rate preferred such as BCE. PRE. AD "- This symbol doesn't show but BCE.PR.A and BCE.PR.D do show on a Morningstar search. If these are what you are referring to, which would be the better?
Many thanks, Len

Q: How do Canadian energy producers typically calculate depletion costs per barrel? Please be as detailed as possible, perhaps by showing a sample calculation. Thanks.

Q: Hi team:
I bought some CPD (ETF for preferred shares) in my investment account about a year ago, it went down abit, but in the last few months it has rebounded and I am now no longer in the red
It was for income, but with the impending rising rates, would it be at risk of dropping in value ?
I realized that this could be a window of opportunity to get out and get into something like CDZ to get a nice dividend with some growth potential (I can tolerate the risks), thanks team!

Q: Not a question, just a rhetorical comment. Publish at your discretion. There have been a couple of questions on why the drop in energy stock prices over the past 2 trading days. The seasonality on energy is February 25 to May 9. Coincidence?

Q: My question is with respect to growth stocks which we know are rapidly losing favour in a shift to value stocks. In this environment and knowing declines could continue for some time, why would an investor not sell growth stocks and move to value stocks? It doesn't seem to me prudent to keep riding the wave down. But I know market timing is a mug's game.
Also, given its size, is Constellation Software (CSU) a growth or value stock or is it a bit of a hybrid?
Thank you, Peter

Q: Hi Peter,

I have $5000 burning a hole in my pocket, which I would like to turn into a "nice graduating gift" for my grandson. My timeframe is 4 years. What's your absolute best pick for growth at this time? I know this sounds a bit like going to the Oracle at Delphi, but it seems to work. You've provided so many excellent suggestions from which I've garnered some very nice returns ... and now I can't pick just one! Success, ironically, may be the bane of your chosen profession. Thanks so much for this wonderful service.

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I would like your opinion on Agrium (AGU.TO). Earnings looked fairly weak and it has since been slapped with analyst downgrades. I also just heard a guest on BNN indicating there may a large surplus of potash worldwide. I'd like to know if you are still positive on the stock or I should exit. Thank you!
