Q: I'd appreciate an update on your analysis of DBM; previously the high debt load has been ID'd as a concern. If one subscribes to the view that the next year or so will still be weighted down by inflation and interest rate challenges is this a stock to buy now (if at all) or put on the watch list for an upturn?
Q: As a follow up to my question on natural gas suppliers please provide what the information is that you find interesting about Peyto.
Also would you be able to direct me to a site that I might find 5 yr. history of a companies ROE, ROA and ROC.
Thanks again
Les
Q: Could you please provide a brief analysis comparing the TSX and S&P valuations now to previous periods when interest rates were at a similar level. I suspect it isn’t as easy as a direct comparison since the weight and make-up of the sectors along with any number of other variables will have changed, but looking for an opinion or best guess based on history as to whether valuations have much further to fall if the assumption is for 5”ish” percent interest rates for a longer period. Thank you.
Q: Thank you for the answer provided today to Guy R. re Structured Notes.
My question is similar but about Principal Protected Notes pushed by advisors as well.
Thank You!
Q: MY ERROR ! I asked the question ... "I have recently come across some US covered call ETF's offering +10% returns on ES Bonds. Sorry, don't have the ticker. They are on streaming platforms and flash by before I can write then down. Can you comment on the danger of such an investment, the stability of the dividend as interest rates are certain to shift. Thanks ! " BUT, I meant to type US (not ES). SORRY. Please deduct a few additional questions due to my typo.
Q: Thanks very much for your quick response .... just a comment - while the dividends are back dated when posted, the funds are not available to the Investor until actually posted. Thus the Investor does lose either through loss of interest, or not making further investments when they might have. Most brokerages pay nothing on cash balances.
Q: What is your opinion on ON Semiconductor. What is its forward multiple and growth prospects in this market. Are there other stocks in the sector that you prefer. Thanks for the info.
Q: The dividend on ENBR is over 8%. What is the likelihood (probability estimate) of the dividend being cut? Is this an issue that should result in a sale, hold or buy? A dividend rate this high often signals an issue and reason to sell.
Q: JPM.PR.K. Looking at this preferred and wondering if this pref has a reset date and rate similar to our reset prefs...can you tell me if they do , please and thank you , and if so the rate and the date...or are these like a perpetual pref...Cheers
