Q: A Scotia report this morning on Inter Pipeline (IPL) suggests that perhaps the company may struggle going forward to justify its premium valuation. The suggestion is that IPL's oil sands
transportation system will continue to increase value; however, other areas of the business may be challenged. In other words, the future is unclear. Your thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter, Can you explain the difference averaging down vs. averaging in? For explain I bought 500 shares of AVO at $27 a few weeks ago and I bought 250 more shares at $21 on the initial dip. Was this a bad strategy?

Averaging down didn't work out too well for investors in Nortel or Blackberry.

Q: New member. On your model portfolio I have decided to buy & hold
as long as the stock remains on your list. However because my capital is tied up in other stocks I could buy only the 9 rated
A or A-. Am I talking a risk by not diversifying to all 20?

Q: I know you have answered a lot of questions recently about Avigilon (AVO), but I feel compelled to ask one more anyway. The price continues to drop every day with no relief. In the absence of any news form either the company or any other source, is there some price point or percentage drop at which you might simply consider it wise to cut the loss and get out? There doesn’t seem to be any buyers stepping in and at some point shouldn’t an investor give some credence to the combined wisdom of the market? I find it worrisome that in the face of the market reaction the company has not put out any type of clarification or press release that might calm investors.

Q: Hello Peter and team.
Would it be possible in each questions regarding a specific stock, to also post the price at the time of your comments? In this way when looking back over a number of posts for that particular stock, a quick history of the price would show and save some "lookup" time. Hope you feel this would be a positive addition to the site. I think many would find this small change a benefit. I know I would. Cheers.
