Q: JDSU Getting tired of holding. Am down 20 per cent in two separate accounts. Street did not like earnings. Starting to think it was a huge mistake buying this for a turnaround. Lots of cash but no catalyst except for possibility of a takeover. Are they in the same space as INVN Invensense? Thinking of switching to INVN. Does that make sense to you?

Q: Peter & Co.

Can I have your take on Pethealth's latest quarter (PTZ). I've been feeling frustrated with this holding lately. While revenue is coming along nicely, more often than not the bottom line is hit, from quarter to quarter, with "one-time" costs. I've been waiting a relatively long time now (~2 years) for consistent free cash flow from this company.

Also, what are your thoughts on the lack of a conference call.

Thanks very much,
Tom

Q: Asked for high yielding american companies earlier and one suggestion was SFL on the NYSE. I was considering NFSHF on pink sheets. How about it, and do you think there is any chance of an off shore oil renaissance.

Q: Can I get your take on CXS's earnings today. I'm down 20% over the last year, is it better to cut my losses and re-deploy the cash to one of ELW, BAD, AYA or PRW? I have 20+ yrs before I need these funds from my TFSA. Thanks for the great service you provide!

Q: Hello Peter,
Can you provide any elaboration on the Q2 Badger comment below?

From Badger Q2 Report regarding forward looking statements:

“...An increase in Company capital will be required to finance the anticipated capital expenditure program”

As I see it, any increase in number of shares particularly before year end, would be a significant drag on the share price. Your thoughts on the need for more capital and its short term affect would be appreciated.
Many thanks!

Q: TBE
I did a double take when I signed on this morning and looked at Twin Butte's stock price. Looks like the company may have turned the corner with that nice dividend looking more and more sustainable. Your thoughts? Kind regards,

Q: I am an investor in my mid seventies. In the past I have been able to purchase new issue convertible debentures for 5 yr, paying on average 5.5%. Unfortunately this market has dried up. Several of my debentures have come due and as a result I now hold a large amount of cash. Can you suggest 5 or 6 blue chip stocks that pay dividends in the 5% range? Should I hold my cash and wait for a correction or begin buying now? Thank you for your opinion.
