Q: Hello Team
From reading some of your Q/As about Metro (MRU), I understand that Metro owns 32+ Billion shares of ATD. Is there any news about Metro to be concerned about? and would any negative news affect ATD??? Thanks again for a quick response to my previous question not related

Q: Hi Team,
Could you give me your thoughts about buying Apple today prior to earnings which are expected to be a blowout plus their balance sheet will continue to show an enormous cash position. I am looking for a trade opportunity as well as a hold.
Thank you

Q: Is there any other update on CFN? Do you see ...deal failing and it dropping back to low levels again?
Q: Why is GLN still trading at such a discount (almost 4%) to its "cash" tender value (and even more with respect to the current BCE share value)? The Rogers injunction issue seems to have been resolved and no other obvious "deal-kiillers" have come out of the woodwork.
It seems to me that the risk/reward ratio is very favorable to purchase GLN now. I would appreciate your opinion.
Thanks!

Q: Hello,
What are your thoughts on First Mineral? I hold half position in FM and was planning to increase it to a full position. The stock is down 13% in the past 3 days - should I take it as an opportunity or a warning? I am considering holding the stock for 2-3 years. (My current exposure to energy and materials combined is 25%)
Thanks.

Q: I don't know if this question has been asked. (I'm sure it has, but here goes anyway...) Do you foresee a time when you might start covering US stocks? Or at the very least, starting a US Model Portfolio, which would be great to see here. In this environment, where everyone is saying "invest in the US" it becomes crucial to have a source of reason to turn to when picking from the infinitely large minefield of companies that make up the US market. I, for one, would not be averse to paying extra for this service so you could hire some like-minded people to initiate this. Thanks for listening.
Q: ok received your answer , so 25 per cent of my total portfolio in your upcoming growth portfolio, that is 25 stocks plus maybe 15-20 stocks in the rest of my portfolio.
isn't that too many stocks. i never hold more than 20 stocks total, usually around 18.
basically what i am getting from all this ,is to cherry pick which i did with the model portfolio-- amaya enghouse etc and did very well, the income does not interest me. dave

Q: Based on the info I have, this co. has: no earnings, no debt & a four digit payout ratio. Either they print money or have huge non-cash write-offs? What am I missing here as I am looking for something for my TFSA with good upside and dividends.
Q: I find your answer on the coming growth portfolio confusing. I am a seasoned investor, what percentage of my total portfolio should I put into your growth portfolio. I understand that percentage should be equally divided between the 25 stocks but what is your recommended percentage. also I am aggressive and not afraid of risk. dave
Q: Good morning: purchased Nal a few weeks ago and it has dropped about $4 per share recently. What is the reason and what do you see for the future. Thanks.
Q: would appreciate a comment on EXN now that the precious metals seem to be moving upwards. Thanks

Q: This company has shown up on my radar with solid fundamentals; though it has been substantially higher in the past 5 years. Do you have any thoughts on it please? Thanks
Q: Hi folks, I've been looking at adding this bank to my holdings. My view is the stock is not ready to buy yet as it appears to be trading in tandem with the price of oil. According to what I see the stock would be a buy around $15. Do you agree? What's are your thoughts on this strategy to play the fear in the oil markets. With much thanks!
Q: Do you consider 18-20% exposure to the energy sector (oil and oil servicers) at the moment too high ? I have a long term horizon (10y+) and my losses are very limited so far since I have started adding to a 5-7% position in the last few weeks ? I also have excess cash that I could add in the next fews months to oil or other sectors if prices fall.
Also, just a guesstimate, do you think current oil price could stay this low or even go much lower during the next 12-24 months ? Thank you.
