Q: hello Peter:
last question about 2 months ago, last report in 2012.
PKI: I have a small postition (about 2% of portfolio) and was looking at deploying some cash. How does this look from a GARP perspective, and how does it look to you from your perspective? The dividend is attractive and I am of the belief that dividends will mean more and more going forward, in a lower growth environment. Do you agree with the latter statement?

Q: Good morning - what are your thoughts on MMP.UN (Sentry Precious Metals and Mining Trust)? Might this be a good way for an income investor to participate in the gold and silver sectors and get a decent dividend and a bit of growth?

Q: Hi Peter,
I am slowly working on to build a TFSA account for myself and my son who is 19 and I have only 12G in RRSP with rbc 2 mutual funds each has 5000 dollar initial investment one is Canadian energy income and other is us dividend growth both are up in total 18%.I also have unused RRSP room of $25000.In addition of above I have two margin accounts one US and One canadian and RESP as well.My focus is to generate income of $2000 per month in coming five years. Please give me five to six names which pay solid dividend and are great debt free companies with some growth. Looking higher dividend in the range of 4 to 8% if possible. my own home work tell me that I must buy Telus because I am paying my cell bill for last 24 years, also I have house and paying enbridge last 15 years and also using TD, BNS to do daily banking and paying big fee on monthly basis so why not buying their stocks to get our money back as we are contributing to their growth. see how stupid we are! I am learning from you. If I would have done that I could have long ago retired by now. please also give me where I can get more information for dividend growing companies. Thank you very much

Q: Hi Peter,
How about an update on Toscana Energy (TEI)? I believe the last one provided was in the Fall of 2013. Is the dividend sustainable and are your former partners at Sprott still involved with the company. Once again, THANKS for your great service and dedication to us small time investors !!!

Take Care

Dave

Q: Do the new rules surrounding the Temporary Foreign Worker Program have impact to your rating on Tim Hortons (THI)? The key risks in the report cite "almost no labour or wage rate risk", so I'm not sure if such a change was accounted for. Most of the Tim Horton restaurants I've been to are almost all foreign workers and there was certainly about a $2 impact to the share price when the news came out. Is this change big enough to impact the overall business and stock outlook?

Q: Hi Peter and staff: Something new for us, our 14year old grandson is interested in starting a TFSA with a limited amount of money ($200.) cdn and a stream of future monies from his after school jobs. We had suggested DHX or Surge Energy but thought this would be an opportunity to let him see how a service like 5I works and can help plan long term
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and he and I await your reply

Q: In a previous questions regarding growth stocks you mentioned DHX,QST,and XTC as good selections. All three are multi-baggers and in the case of QST an 8 fold increase in the last three years. Realizing that markets have been strong and that you have no crystal ball how do you recognize these stocks before they become multi-baggers? Would they be speculative as opposed to growth? Could you suggest on or two and what critera did you use to select them? Thank You and wishing a speedy recovery from your accident. Ron

Q: Peter & 5i, what metrics do you use or you have found to be useful in determining if the market is overvalued? Shiller P/E? Buffett Indicator (Total Market Cap/GDP or is GNP?) Do you depend on them in great respects? Do you often build up cash at these metrics even though we're long term investors (in great companies, dividends, etc)?
