I own Walgreen and it is doing quite well. As a long term investor, I'm considering adding to it or adding CVS? What do you think of that space and those two companies, or is there another you prefer?
Q: I've always been curious why the Canadian banks traditionally trade at low multiples, even when compared to low growth companies such as consumer staples. TD has a higher ROE, higher dividend yield and higher growth rate than PG, yet trades at a forward P/E of 11.2 while PG trades at a forward P/E of 19.9. Am I missing something?
Q: Could you please rank these five stocks in order of preference to increase a half position to a whole position? And why please.
Thank you very much!!
Dave
Q: It's been a while since you've commented on Strad Energy Services. Their recent quarter looks very decent. I'd be interested in your take on the numbers.
Reko International had a nice pop in stock price and quarterly earnings recently.
Can you please give an update on the companys' fundamentals (debt, future earnings growth etc.)for a long term hold position.
Thanks once again for your outstanding and very timely unbiased service!
Q: My energy stocks are the following: BNP,CNQ,PRW and TOG. I need to get out of all or three of them. Which do you recommend to keep or should I sell all and buy Tourmaline that seems to be a better managed company. It seems to me that the oil stocks are not going to do better in a long time.
I also would like to know if it is right time to buyAmaya gaming, Home Capital Group. Or is it too late.

Q: Good evening!
If I were to sell RSI (one of my income stocks)RSI for tax reasons (My ACB 11% higher) would you have any suggestions for a "parking" stock that would trade in sync? I am happy to buy Rogers back in the new year (as in day 1!) as I do, in fact, expect better future earnings based on upcoming sugar shortages and lower fuel costs.
Thanks!
Q: Hello Peter & Co,
This is a follow up to my first letter on sectoral split and content of my RRIF portfolio
Energy; 10% BTE, CPG, HWO, TOU, VET and WCP; thinking of switching from CPG to POU? any other suggestion?
Health; 11% you consider too high and RX too risky; I'll reduce to half position, same as GUD
Metals 0%; you have FM in your portfolio, how about XBM?
Consumer staples 0%; you have L in your income portfolio, I thought DOL could be considered both retail & consumer staples.
Thanks, as usual
Tony
Q: Dear 5i
The Canadian Money Magazine article recommends 3value stocks . Which of these 3 do you feel will show the greatest growth in earnings over the next 1-2 years . Could you rate them in order of preference. (Alg , bgfv , tgi )
Thank you
Bill

Q: Google has been flat for sometime now and I'm wondering if it is dead money. I'm 50% up on the stock but can't help thinking I should sell and put the money in a similar IT stock, Canadian or US. Suggestions please!

Q: I find myself overweight in the auto parts area, with 14K each in MRE and LNR and 36K in Magna. I'd like to pare it down to a total of 30K in only one of the three companies. Which would you suggest is the best bet for a 5 year term? Or is it best to keep two? Like my children, I love all three equally someone has to go. Thanks.
Q: I noticed that Trimac was one of your top picks on BNN and wondered if I should sell Transforce and buy Trimac. I am an income investor. Thanks for your thoughts.
