Q: Hi Peter, I have some US funds I would like to use in the healthcare sector (no exposure at this time). Could you give me your take on Walgreens WAG, IBB and IYH. Which one would give me the best long term hold?
Thanks
Gary

Q: This fund pays out a dividend of 9.3 cents per month - 9.47% at today's share price. It has what seems to be a low beta of 0.22. ( Is that relevant for this tuype of stock?)
How would you rate this stock as a reliable component of the fixed income portion of my US dollar portfolio?

Thank you.

Q: Hello Peter and Team,
I need to consolidate my Utilities weighting in an otherwise diversified income portfolio. I need to keep 3 of the four listed, proceeds of the sale being re-invested into the residual holdings. Please rate these four against each other in terms of consideration of my preference for valuation and growth potential over an extended time frame of 5 years As always I appreciate your thoughts on this. Rick.

Q: Hi Peter, Do you know what percentage of revenues come from K's mine in Russia? Given that the situation with Russia is getting worse and worse, I'm worried the company could very well be a candidate for expropriation. What are your thoughts on that and how much more downturn can the stock have if that were to occur?

Thanks a lot!

Q: Peter et al,
I have shares in Exco (XTC) which I bought two months ago. I am also interested in Evertz(ET). Would it be better to buy more XTC or should buy ET. Thanks in advance.

Q: Hi Team,

I currently own some Enterprise but under water for about 15%. Is it wise to purchase more to average down? Thanks

Q: Hi 5i Team.
One of the few remaining Mut. funds left from our "big broker" days is Mackenzie Sentinel Corp. Bond fund MFC756/856. We hold it in both our joint taxable a/c, and in our RSP's. It is a substantial holding at ~ 8.5% of our consolidated. We have done fairly well todate, but over the last month it has been on a steady decline (-1.7%).
With a MER of 1.75, we are contemplating taking our profits before further declines, and investing the proceeds in something like exch. traded fund CLF or perhaps splitting between it and a floating rate ETF.
Can you give us your opinion. Thanks

Q: Could I have your analysis and comparison of Long Run Exploration (LRE) and Surge Energy Inc (SGY). Production, sales, management, properties, future prospects, m&a and who is the better of the two at this point in time for dividend, value and growth?
Thanks for your help!

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I hold full positions in the model portfolio except AYA, DSG, FSV, G, MG, SYZ and T. I hold full positions in BEP.UN, SLF, and SGY. I hold what started as full positions in AVO, DHX, TOU, BAD and QST. Thanks to your guidance my portfolio is up. I’ve trimmed some winnings down to full positions and would like to re-invest.
My question is more specifically on AVO (down 35%) and BDI (down 30%). I’m very concerned about AVO.
I am somewhat considering topping up on AVO and/or BDI back to full positions. I was also considering selling one or both ......or keep holding them and invest in 1-2 names in the model portfolio that I don’t already own?
Are you comfortable with AVO and BDI at this point in time? What 2-3 names would you recommend from the model portfolio (or outside the portfolio) if I were to buy new positions? I am a long term medium risk investor. Your guidance as always is much appreciated.
Thank you for the service you provide. It is very well worth it and you’ve helped me with my investing.
Best Regards,
Marco

Q: Peter and team: What is your view on the current correction that the market is going through? Will it test the 50, 100 or 200 day moving average? Is there support at any of these levels? Would you suggest liquidating some of the portfolio now or just ride this turmoil out?

Q: Hi team:
there was a statement on the Globe and Mail on Sat that one of the Malaysian companies that has interest in the LNG in BC is threatening to pull out of the deal as there were too many red tapes to cut through
What would you think of ALA (altagas) and Pey (gas) as a long term hold, I am thinking of 3 years or more ? it is risky to buy or to add to an existing position ? they generate good dividends and I am looking for abit of capital growth as well, thanks
