Q: Could you give us your opinion on XSR given their latest results. I've owned a small "starter position" (about 1% of my income portfolio) for about a year now and am trying to decided whether to drop it or add to my holdings. Thanks for everything.

Q: Peter and Team,

I've owned Constellation Software since the model portfolio was created and have done well with it... very happy, great pick!

Reading their quarterly results, it seems like they are firing on all cylinders still - cash is up, debt was reduced, they grew both by acquisition and organically, earnings per share are up - things look good and the company still seems like 'A' quality.

Am I missing anything?

Q: Hi guys,

Is there a place where I can find reliable financial information on all Canadian and U.S. companies. For example, type in a ticker symbol and access recent quarterly results for the last few years, P/E ratios, forward P/E, etc. I don't mind paying for the service if the information is reliable.

Thanks a lot!
Jason

Q: Hi Peter,

BTO, Goldcorp among others, were decimated this morning. I have been holding approximately a 10% weighting, in a diversified portfolio. Sell? Hold? What is your advice?

Thank you,
Gail

Q: AltaGas is made up of 3 business segments (power, gas and utilities). In terms of asset allocation sectors (Finance, Utilities, Consumer, Industrial, Resources), it is a hybrid of Utilities and Resources. I currently split it 70% utilities and 30% resources.

Your thoughts?

Q: Regarding asset allocation and REITs, I know you consider them to be almost a separate asset class. Most advisories I receive have them in the Finance sector; one has them in the Manufacturing and Industrial sector. I own Sentry REIT Fund and TCN. I currently split them 50% Finance and 50% Industrial. Your thoughts on the allocation split?

Also, my REIT exposure is 8% of my total portfolio, including equities, fixed income and cash. It is 12% of my equity-only holdings. I am a retired income investor. Is this REIT exposure appropriate?

Thanks for your help.
Steve

Thanks, Steve

Q: I have a fairly well diversified portfolio however I could use some more healthcare sector exposure. I have been looking at Cipher, Knight, Concordia and Merus to initiate a small position in my TFSA. I am interested in mainly growth and have expect to hold it 3-5 years at this point in time. From your past responses, I'm guessing you like Concordia the best but it seems fairly expensive to me. Which one would you prefer or is there another I should consider.
Like everyone else, I really appreciate the service you provide.

Q: Hi Peter & 5i Team,

In your answer to Paul on Oct 28 regarding energy stocks, you wrote
"... we think you could silo them into (light, heavy, tar), (Nat Gas), (service/drillers)... We think you could cover all of the areas with 6 names ".

Could you please recommend your favourite 6 energy sector names for a GROWTH investor for the above 3 silos.

Thanks in advance

Francis
