Q: Hi folks, I've been looking at adding this bank to my holdings. My view is the stock is not ready to buy yet as it appears to be trading in tandem with the price of oil. According to what I see the stock would be a buy around $15. Do you agree? What's are your thoughts on this strategy to play the fear in the oil markets. With much thanks!

Q: Do you consider 18-20% exposure to the energy sector (oil and oil servicers) at the moment too high ? I have a long term horizon (10y+) and my losses are very limited so far since I have started adding to a 5-7% position in the last few weeks ? I also have excess cash that I could add in the next fews months to oil or other sectors if prices fall.

Also, just a guesstimate, do you think current oil price could stay this low or even go much lower during the next 12-24 months ? Thank you.

Q: What percentage of ones portfolio do you recommend investors allocate to the growth portfolio you are putting out in April? And what is the minimum one would have to put in each of the 25 stocks to make it worth it with the buy fees? If a Small investors with other holdings from your model portfolio can only afford to put 500 dollars or 1000 dollars in each of the 25 stocks would it still be worth investing? At 10 dollars a trade it would be 1 or 2 percent if the value. What kind if return will you be aiming for?

Q: Thanks for your quick reply to my previous question. Perhaps I was not clear enough - but I was hoping for your current recommendation for sector allocations.

Thank you.

Q: Happy New Year Team 5i. I have no Canadian or US healthcare. I am well diversified with both of your PFs. I do not have any US dollars or direct US equities (only those within your PFs which have US exposure) I am interested in XLV but what would be the best way to purchase? Should I open a US account and buy enough US dollars to purchase XLV and hold within that account or should I just purchase within my TFSA (or RRIF) with my Canadian $. I'm quite naïve about US purchases as you can see. Thank you for all you are doing. It gets easier and better because of all of you!

Q: I hold this basket of stocks(AVO,BDI,CF,DH,DHX.B,EF,MNW,SJ,TCN,WCP,WSP) in an RSP account. I would like to add 2 stocks to it. I am retired and do not need the money now. The rest of the portfolio is well diversified following 5i recommendations in the model and income portfolios. Can you provide a few suggestions to balance this basket of stocks a little further. Many thanks!

Q: I have relatively balanced portfolio and have some GICs coming due soon, which I’m considering replacing with preferred shares. What do think of ENB.PR.B ? It’s down quite a bit recently. Do you know why it’s dropped so much and are there any preferred share that you like better?

Q: I am looking for a long term US growth company for my 11 year old son's RESP - I completely agree with your recent assessment of Google but it is at a 52 week low - why is it under pressure? Other US names I am considering are Blackstone, KKR and Lazard. Can you rate them regarding safety and dividend potential?
Thanks.

Q: I already own J&J & WAG in my USD portfolio. I was thinking of adding this one because it has been beaten up-however: really high debt.low EPS & CF & pay-out ratio -but has a high ROE of 76%-none of this adds up to me? Comments please on sustainability of dividend. Just did as deal with Novartis.
