Q: 91 year old has business, pension, preferred share, dividend and bond income. Not dependant on additional cash flow to live, but could use some more. With $100k-500k of new money, please recommend some investments to create cash flow or additional wealth. We have a few subscriptions in our family, Thanks to everyone at 5i
Q: Would it be possible to include the columns "Sector", "Industry" and "Sub Industry" to the growth portfolio reports? I know the income and equity portfolios used to disclose this, rather than just the %'s for the overall portfolio(s).
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Intel has offered $54 per share ,yet the stock is only trading at $51.65 which would lead me to believe that the deal may not go through. If that's the case what do you think could derail it and what is the percentage chance of that occurring?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: How would you compare Cuf.un and BTB.un going forward ?
Q: What do you think about the bought deal tou announced today? How do you think the market will react?
Q: As you have not reviewed this for over a year, do you plan to do so ? If not, what is your current opinion? Thanks
Q: Re: Your response to Jason earlier today with specific reference to RBC offering 'Synthetic DRIP/s"...Just curious why you would single-out RBC ? ALL Brokers offer synthetic DRIPS as far as I know. (TDDI does for sure)
Q: I own the above but am not impressed with the drop in the stock. I also own csu, with what I consider a full positon, otherwise I would buy more.
I am thinking of moving out of otc and replacing it, would you recommend a u.s. stock to fill the void.
Thanks so much.

Q: If banks use CXI for currency exchange, and the company has good earnings & growth potential, do you think one of the big banks will simply buy them out? $220M market cap seems like peanuts for a bank looking for a competitive advantage.
Q: Hi Peter,
I am looking for some global and US Specific (ex. Canada) diversification.
Can you please suggest some ETFS or Funds that would provide growth and some that would also provide some dividends for both global and US sectors. Please advise which would be suitable for a TFSA, for RRSP and for a cash account. US dividends in a TFSA are exposed to tax withholding, is it the same with dividends from the rest world.? Please advise if it still makes sense to hold US investments in a TFSA given that dividend taxes are withheld and not credited.

Q: The ticker on BNN just flashed that AMAYA has confirmed that the CEO and CFO of the company are now under investigation. If this is confirmed, I expect the stock would take a major hit. If they are found guilty of illegal action would the company be subject to class actions? Do you see the stock to be a buy if it tanks over the next couple of days? Should I sell my existing shares?
Your insight and opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Q: Hello Peter and Co:
Great job on BNN yesterday. I have 2 questions so charge me for 2 no problem.
I own PEY in the Oil & Gas sector, total sector exposure (including sector exposure in my US ETFs) is 4.5%.
I own ALA, IPL and PPL also Oil & Gas but I consider them utilities, total sector exposure (including sector exposure in my US ETFs) is 7.2%.
Question 1: Is replacing PEY with WCP a good trade?
Question 2: Between ALA, IPL and PPL which one is worth keeping?
Thanks for everything, I've learned a ton of stuff from you over the last 2 years. cheers

Q: Investigation is resurfacing again with ceo and cfo being investigated. Were they ever part of the investigation or is this the same old same old. Globe and Mail reporting on this issue again today. Will this take years before someone is charged or not? It would be nice to get this whole issue out of the way. How big of an overhang on the stock do you think this creates. I imagine the stock will tank if high level executives are charged even if they are innocent until proven guilty.

Mr. Hodson, what do you make of the above article ? To my knowledge, the CEO has done nothing wrong and is acting in full cooperation with AMF, and with the support of its BOD. It would be unfortunate if this affected the impending coming on NASDAQ.

Q: Good afternoon. Saw the "Top Pick" recommendation on WCP. Would you sell SCL (Shawcor) to buy WCP? Overall exposure is good so wondering if a swap is the best strategy. I like to leave stocks and not trade too much, 5-10 years. Thanks!
Q: why is the stock down so much?
Q: Hello 5i Team,
I have had this fund for about a year now in a non-registered account. I bought it for world wide exposure and at present my exposure to this fund and world wide exposure is small. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on the fund and if it would be prudent for me, retired, to increase my exposure here? I like the monthly dividend.
I am slowly working toward more balance in my portfolio but am satisfied with my progress in that area. I review my allocations quarterly and ponder making allocation changes, but do not necessarily make any.
Thanks
