Q: Hi , I have an inheritance of $445,000 and I would like to invest in an aggressive growth portfolio for the long term. Assuming I follow a max of 5% per position, 100% equity (I have FI in another portfolio), what would be your top 5 stocks? As a filter, I would like to see dividends in those positions but it's not mandatory, any industry (except O&G) and I'm a patient investor.

Q: Dear Sirs,

Noting that question queue was wiped clean, I thought I would resubmit:

In the past one of Peter's metrics in stock selection has been to identify equitiies initiating a dividend. Could you please pass along a listing of companies that would fall into this category, perhaps over the last 1 to 2 years , and as well offer advice as to the companies that you feel are worth owning.

With thanks,
Brad

Q: I recently added a position in ENB on the latest price dip. This morning Patrick Horan guest speaker on BNN says that he is shorting ENB. Claims that ENB cannot grow dividend, Interest and High evaluation and that ENB missed earnings.

I would like to hold ENB for the longer term but would not want to go through a major down cycle.

Can you comment overall and address you position on shorting ENB - I would have never looked at ENB as a short...

Thanks Kindly,
Mark

Q: Obviously TCL missed street expectations with today's earnings report. To me it didn't look bad although they did reference Target's demise in their outlook. What are your comments?

Q: We are travelling in Europe - Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Italy ... and cannot ever recall seeing so much construction activity. Is there any way to verify the accuracy of the observation - as in high current levels of infrastructure projects.

And if the perception is correct, is there an investment opportunity here be it in canadian or US lusted companies?

Thanks

Q: With the recent CRA crackdown, and the heavy fines involved for not filing, do you know of an easy way to determine if a company is considered foreign property for filing form T1135? I contacted my broker and they did not know of a straightforward way to determine this.

Q: I have a one half position in each of PHM and CRH. According to their last quarter IFRS results PHM had an EPS loss 0.012 and CRH had an EPS profit of 0.02. I am considering selling my PHM and buying a full position in CRH.
What do you think of this strategy?

Q: Hello, I have held FSZ for a few years with little to show for it, patience is running out. Thinking of IFC or AD as replacements. Your thoughts, best bet between these or alternates? Thanks, Lavern

Q: I apologize if you have already answered this, but I can't find it. Given that the TSX will be moving Chartwell to the Healthcare sector, do you think that is an accurate allocation when trying to build a diversified portfolio? I'm inclined to leave it in Financials as a REIT. Would you agree, or should it comprise part of my Healthcare component?

Thank you.

Q: BAM represents 6% of my (mostly well-diversified) portfolio at this time. Is this too much? My aim is always growth, with growing dividend, and given that BAM seems to be going sideways in the short term, I was thinking of trimming back to 4% and using the extra 2%, along with some cash sitting in the account, to buy into something with more potential and/or more momentum. If you think this is a good idea, could you provide a favourite name or two in the Energy Sector. My only holding in this sector is TOG at this time, which represents 4.25% of the portfolio. Thanks for your help.

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
All I can say is "HELP"! TDG went down today almost 10% on hugh volumne of 8.8M shares. I realize that in takeovers the purchasers shares usually decline and of course the other side is delighted with the premium and cash in their hand.Several consultants seem to think that this deal was constructive and had long term value for TDG.Yesterday Eric Nuttall on BNN was very optimistic in the long term for TDG claiming it was very cheap and made it a Top Pick.I am not sure if he was taking this deal into his calculation. In any event I would like your assessment of this deal and share holder reaction. Are they panicking...are they being too short sighted or are they smarter that management?
Your info and insights are always valuable and help me sleep at night!Ha!Ha! Thanks again!
